Thanks for the Bristol tip, will check it out. I know where the brewery is but haven’t visited.

Nice, they do a big range of other stuff and collabs too that all look amazing; especially some of the imaginative porters, but I haven't tried any yet as it was only the end of August when I was introduced.

I usually drink lager at a normal rate and can't drink too much, too fast or I get bloated.

But when watching Watford, if it's tense I find my body reconfigures itself and I can drink at approximately 3 times the speed with no bloat and no intoxication.

I make my own cider. It is very easy to do and I can get the level of dryness and fizz just the way I prefer. I hadn't thought of flavouring it with rhubarb. I must try that.

  6. Brewdogs on offer at Tesco. Hazy Jane is v nice. If it's not looking good at HT will switch to La Chouffe delicious but evil at 8.5%.

I’m good and at least wait till I’m home. They do still sell White Lighting. I used to drink it at uni if I was skint and had no food. 4 litres was cheaper than a good meal and you couldn’t tell what day of the week it was let alone if you were still hungry afterwards

Who remembers turbo shandys? We used to make one which was drink half the pint, pour in a double vodka and a bottle of alcopop. A couple of those and your next memory was normally waking up the next day at 1pm.

Turbo shandy was good, half of Stella or carlsberg export and a bottle of Smirnoff ice. The pub I worked in in Winchester had Addlestones cider which mixed with Stella could do terrible things

You won't regret it, often with fruity ciders I have to change up what i'm drinking as the taste just gets too "samey" as they're too sweet. This hits the spot between a normal cider and a fruity perfectly and makes it endlessly drinkable. Absolutely superb, quite pricey but definitely worth it.

And the Watford faithful replied first with applause and then with:

    "He's got a wine-bar!
    He's got a wine-bar!
    You ain't!
    You ain't"

Which, ISTR, got a smattering of applause from the Spurs Fans...

No, it got banned under the Trade Descriptions Act on the basis it was purporting to be "traditional British bitter".

A keg of whatever the Marlow Brewery are churning out. Rebellion beer of the month has kept me going through lockdown.

That was our goto night fishing beverage. My Dad always had crates of little bottles of Stella in the garage and I remember it being 99p for two litres of White Lightning. They were very messy Saturday nights in Cassiobury Park, even worse was I played Sunday morning footy or I thought I was playing.

Ciders in game ( Stowford Press) if Im watching with mates. If on my own Ill have a glass of white as I tend to go into analysis mode of watching game on my own rather than jumping up and down like a fan.

After the game , if we win , Ill have a whiskey Japanese blended at the moment. If we lose onto a hearty red.

I need to start drinking soon as nerves have properly kicked in! I'm sure I wasn't this bad last time we were promoted. I think it's because it's very much in our own hands and are expected to get promoted now

Korev is an excellent Cornish larger, I believe they sell them at Tesco. I’m lucky enough to live near a very good brewery in Devon that do a fantastic beer, Otters gold.

I don’t drink during the week anymore as I find I don’t sleep well if I do. But tonight I’ve had 3 large glasses of Pomerol with an early dinner and a gin and tonic and, since I now have zero stamina, they’ve gone straight to my head. It does wonders for the nerves and whereas I thought I wouldn’t watch the match I now feel strangely relaxed about the whole thing...

Yes, I’ll ask second that. They also sell it in Waitrose as well, normally on a 4 for 3 deal.

A delicious session IPA which is vegan friendly and gluten free, so won't trigger my ibs too much.

Much cheaper from Tesco than my local CoOp.

For the Reading game I just had a Heineken followed by a strong and large Havana club rum and coke. If I want a slightly rougher beer I'll go for Estrella. Ive got pretty simple tastes when it comes to alcohol. I'll never turn down shots of tequila or Jägerbombs when offered though.
My main coping strategy is that I believe in this team. We needed to beat Reading not just for the 3 points but also to show we can beat these type of teams. I figured at least one player would step up and take the game by the scruff of the neck. I just wasnt expecting it to be quite as effing amazing as what Isma Sarr Superstar came up with. The players who have played since Bristol really really want this and I trust them to stay focussed and finish the job. Hopefully in the next 3 games.

I went for 4 660 Tigers in the end. 2 for £4 in Co-op. I drink ridiculously fast in any scenario, so I drink them out of a schooner 2/3 pint glass to slow things down. I’ve worked out it’s best to never buy more than 4 of those sized bottles at a time, it’s virtually 5 pints so more than enough for any evening.

The best tea is of course from the secret plantations hidden in the dark dales of Yorkshire.
Or a good Twinings Earl Gray.
Both very calming if we’re playing shy te.

But if we’re winning, a lovely hoppy draught Green King IPA or 6.

And to celebrate a win, follow up with a bottle of good vintage South African Shiraz.

On promotion and in preparation for the pond, legless with a bottle of Jameson triple distilled Irish whiskey.
