Another victim of Covid 19. Stalwart of Radio 4 panels, especially 'I'm sorry I haven't a clue' and of course The Goodies which seemed pretty revolutionary to me as a kid. Very sad.
Loved the Goodies as a kid. Was patchy and occasionally dodgy to say the least looking back on it, but this whole episode was a classic. RIP.
It'll be interesting to see what his legacy might be: TBT was a really funny, down-to-earth bloke (in contrast to Bill Oddie who's an utter ****) and cherished the role the Beeb played in his career. But he was always extremely bitter (and vociferous) about the BBC's lack of Goodies repeats...
Oh dear, so sad., I was listening to him recently on the radio show, I'm Sorry, I havn't a clue, and he was brilliant, I just hadn't realised he was nearly 80. Another of my childhood funny men leaves us.
I'm still reminded of that episode on the rare occasions I see the Post Office Tower (or whatever it's called these days). RIP
I remember it being one of the most talked about bits of TV in our school playground, eclipsed only on the occasion there were ti.ts on the Sweeney.
This is the definitive collection although I've been advised that unless you've got £58 quid burning a whole in your pocket it might be worthwhile waiting for one of their frequent sales (although it doesn't seem to be part of their BOGOF boxset offer).
Big sports fan particularly cricket. From Buxton and supported Derby County. Excellent on Sorry I Have nt a clue. The thinking persons celebrity. RIP
