Maybe he wanted his old gaffer as the boss ?! Was Revie a bit like GT with England? Had his style of play but the England players didn't fancy it or like playing that way so there was no respect or unity ? I know he buggered off to the Middle East for money !
I had no idea he was at Leeds for 10 years. In my memory it was three or four, but he was even still playing for them after their relegation in 1982.
