Speechless. We hard battle an amazing win. Villa play a team fit to grace no more than a vauxhall conference game. Bournemouth are absolutely gifted 3 points and lots of goals. The gods us to go down. It's time to accept it. They want us to go down. So we may as well not bother with the next 3 games. Call it now. End it. Send us down.
The over reaction is absolutely hilarious. All the teams at the bottom are fighting for their lives. Did you honestly expect everyone to roll over? It’s going down to the wire, deal with it.
The lucky team here is actually Villa. Keeper carries over the line vs Sheff - Hawkeye is off. Sakho's goal sounds like it wasn't a handball either - though yet to see it. I'm still bemused how they didn't go down to 10 men vs us either.
Southampton have an opportunity to send their South Coast rival down. So not a given that Bmouth pick up the necessary points.
It's the prolongation of all this agony that scrambles the brain. The way today has gone Man City will go on strike and stage a sit in after CL appeal is denied. Richarlison will then score an own goal for a Villa win. I hate football too.
Interviewer questioning the Bournemouth player as if Eddie's changes and team talk changed the match. It did feck all. They were gifted the game from nowhere. Panel all gushing over it. Feck right off
Yes, but the problem is - look at our remaining fixtures vs those of Bournemouth and Villa. You can see why people are feeling pessimistic after today’s results.
Good. Let "Little old Bournemouth" get all the attention. It only adds pressure. Troy said it all yesterday - He had no idea how many points we were on, or how far away others are. It's in our hands, and all that counts is us.
Soooo, yesterday was about the 5th time this season that we were definitely staying up, I make this now the, what, 15th time we're certain to go down now? Football, ******* football eh?
There's expecting teams to roll over and there's teams throwing games and terrible officiating. Not the same thing.
I doubt Southampton give a **** about Bournemouth, it's all about Portsmouth for them. How many times have they even played Bournemouth in their history? (Should be a difficult game for them, as Southampton have looked tasty recently as we can attest to)
Villa will win at Everton, have no doubt about that. There is beef between our club and Everton which they will finish by rolling over. It's Norwich, Bournemouth and 1 of us and West Ham.
West Ham are far better than us. Arsenal could roll us over easily if they bother to turn up. Man City are likely to score a hatful against us. I was optimistic about staying up yesterday. This evening l am resigned to our relegation.
I wouldn't be as bothered if these teams fought hard and deserved to win. Villa could've turned up with 6 players and still would've won. Bournemouth were abysmal and were completely gifted all three points and 3 plus goals. It's frustrating as hell.
I can't speak for others but I am hoping other relegation candidates lose simply because I don't expect us to win. Two struggling wins against poor sides hasn't changed that. If teams around us start winning I can't see us surviving by matching those wins. I hope I'm wrong but Muff & Villa are far more likely to get wins in their final 3 than we are now. So the sad truth is that many of us were relying on others to fail because we have lost a lot of belief in the bunch of players we currently have. It's a sad and embarrassing truth.
God you’re all a bunch of bedwetters. The result just now was a freak but let’s be realistic, Bournemouth aren’t staying up - they’ll get spanked by City then Saints will as good as send them down. In this respect, the result changes nothing - Villa was always the problem. Villa will get a point max against Everton, and will lose to Arsenal. So they’ll be on 31pts with 3pts and a few goals to make up in the last match. And that’s if we get nothing at West Ham. Still think a point there will be enough. Do you really think either Villa or Muff have turned a corner with those results? They haven’t improved. Stop panicking.
Could always see Bournemouth getting at least 4 points from their last 2 and that's why it was so important for us that they lost tonight. Yesterday felt amazing because even though we weren't great it seemed we'd just about done enough. 2 wins papered over the cracks and not sure i can see us winning another and even getting draws will be tough. I guess the only positive is at least we did win yesterday
Can West ham please not bother turning up and also gift us three goals while getting 3 players sent off? Think that'll just about even up today's events.
And Bournemouth/Villa going to get enough points ? Will Bournemouth beat one of Southampton or Everton and Villa get 4 points from their 3 which includes West Ham and Arsenal. Got to win at West Ham - don't think they are miles better though. Frustrating thing is Bournemouth were gifted that.
If Arsenal are in the plane for us, they also probably will be for Villa given Spurs play twice before that match.
Wins breed confidence no matter who you are. Just didn't expect all 4 of us to win at the same time. Squeaky bum time. No point predicting anything when *that* just happened.
Brighton fans probably the most nervous after this weekend. Need something against West Ham now.... Always a tricky fixture to predict, often get wins against recent form in these.
Cannot believe what Leicester have just done. If I was a foxes fan, I would be absolutely livid. I am livid as a Watford fan. It was a capitulation of epic proportions. I think Bournemouth are a very poor team and Leicester should have buried them, but were brought down to their training pace level and assumed they were going to win. Bournemouth now have a confidence, not acquired by playing well, but by the utter incompetence and lack of professionalism of another club. For the neutral, the relegation battle might be of interest, for us it is just a prolonged torture.
Exactly, it’s a tinpot made up rivalry at the best of times. With no fans there it’s a bog standard PL game.
