I’ve got nothing in my account! I’m delighted!

Two huge ballsy wins coming from behind and we are in a great position despite having 2 difficult last games. Hopefully the psychological blow will really crush AV & B for tomorrow's games. Both know that 2 successive wins would still leave them in the bottom 3.

Both the West Ham game and Man City game are on Pick as well as Sky .

The latter maybe behind the sofa too!!

    Massive massive win.

Every Aston Villa and Bournemouth player would have been watching our game. I can imagine all of them celebrating Newcastle’s goal and us going in to HT losing. They were 45mins away from a huge psychological boost. All for it to be undone.

The game against Spurs was massively missed opportunity for them, then for us to now really put the pressure on them, and they have 24hrs to have that on their minds will not be what they wanted. Bournemouth know only 3 points against Leicester is good enough, so they have to come out and attack. Leicester are a quick counter team. That game is huge for them.

As for Villa, similar situation. They will be gutted with our result today. I just hope the Palace that gave Chelsea a good game, will be the Palace that show up.

We’ve put ourselves in a great position. Our boys will be watching the games tomorrow. If results go our way. Then we’re nearly there.

Costs me over 2 grand if Watford survive and hopefully they will. I always help them out with my bets.

I did us all a favour and lumped on just before the Norwich game, my betting history was almost a guarantee that we’d win two on the bounce, you’re all welcome.

Bournemouth are playing two games before we play West Ham, Home to Leicester tomorrow and away to Man City on Wednesday, they need to win one for us to have any concern about them!

Villa also playing 2 games before us home to Palace and away to Everton next Thursday, we will really know what's what when we play West Ham! happy days!

So if we lose our last 3, Bournemouth would need 6 points from their last 4 games, so a win and 3 draws or 2 wins assuming that their GD would then be better. AV would need 7 points, so 2 wins and a draw and, even then, their GD may still be worse unless we suffer heavy defeats.

I'm still gutted Villa got that extra point against Sheff Utd, they shouldn't have.

It all depends on Villa and Bournemouth now. They both play twice before we do. I think it's a lot to ask for them to both lose both their games, but it should be clear what we need to do by the time we play West Ham.

Let's be honest, we're not expected to get anything from our last two games, so we really need to get what we need against West Ham. Hopefully the scenario will play out where we only need a point to be mathematically safe.

Villa play Palace at home and Everton away. Hopefully they'll get no more than a point in those two. Bournemouth play Leicester home and City away. They have a chance against Leicester, as they've not been fantastic since the restart, but I can't see them getting much at City.

So being 6 points clear at this stage, with the matches our opponents lined-up, it's a very good position to be in.

  14. Villa and muff aren't suddenly going to become teams taking 6 points from 12 when they have been dog**** all season

Exactly. Though Villa need 7, so basically if they lose any 2 of their remaining 4 games they’re gone.

Southampton fans all over twitter excited that they could be the team to send Bournemouth down. Top trolling by saints fans. Bournemouth fans dreading being relegated by Southampton.

You’re right, but we just did it and we didn’t look like we had it in us. I’d say it’s almost a given Bournemouth won’t get much from their next two games. But Villas next two are both winnable for them, stranger things have happened.

It’s on them now. Massive pressure. They both have to win. A draw isn’t even good enough for either Bournemouth or Villa.

If both of them lose then they will throw the towel in.

Yes, I overlooked that, two defeats for Villa before we face West Ham will relegate them.

  21. The difference is we have players who really should be ashamed that we are down in a relegation fight. Del, Sarr, Welbeck, Hughes, Doucs, Pereyra...

This Sheff united result stays the same, all the better as it gives Leicester the chance to climb above Chelsea again.

Will FFP affect Villa if/when they go down? They spent big money in a gamble to get up.

I understand what you're saying but it's not just down to those players. Poorly mismanaged. The QSF appointment was maybe the worst decision the hierarchy have ever made.

Lots of newfound confidence amongst our fans. Makes me nervous. Job still far from done, and we were looking set for relegation just a week ago.

Villa need seven points to match us and have winnable matches in Palace, Everton, Arsenal and West Ham, even though their form is poor. And keep in mind that if they are to catch us on points by winning matches and us losing them, then the goal difference is inherently getting closer.

Bournemouth need six points to match us. Tougher fixtures, with Leicester, Man City, Southampton and Everton, and equally bad form, but you never know. And again, if they are winning a couple matches and we're losing them, allowing them to draw even with us, their GD gets closer. So finishing on the same points may well not be enough for us to stay up.

So we're all rooting for Palace and Leicester tomorrow. (Shudders...)

  28. Yes, but have a squad that really shouldn't be in a relegation fight. Villa have a dog**** squad, assembled from the finest players places like the Belgian league has to offer. Saint Eddie has bought over priced tat for years now.

I tend to agree with this. I had thought that 34 would be enough but I don’t feel as confident about that tonight as I expected. We’ll know much more by the time we kick off vs Spam, though.

Villa haven't won since January, Palace have turned to dogshit since they put their feet up and are without Cahill.

Would be happy with that being a draw.

With Chelsea losing Leicester can take advantage and move into 3rd.

Bournemouth owned by a very rich Russian though.

Villa had already gambled big on promotion last season and would have been in huge problems if not come up. They could be in trouble.
