Bournemouth started very well against Man Utd at the weekend. Kept it solid and looked a threat on the counter with Stanislas. I wasn’t surprised at all when they took the lead. Thankfully Greenwood and Bruno Fernandes (masterful Pozzo planning) are on red hot form and powered through their defence eventually. Wouldn’t be shocked if they play the same way but have better luck holding out against Spurs.
Nice comment on Muff forum (thread entitled "I hope Watford go down with us") "Watford are all right, much prefer them to any of the elite clubs. We've often complained over the years at how our local support has been siphoned away to the more bigger, more glamourous team up the road. Imagine what it must be like in Watford, with Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea just a short train ride away. Got to respect the Watford fans who have stayed loyal to their hometown team. Good luck to them."
I think we will get one more point, Bournemouth will beat spurs on thursday (spurs have 3 games in 6 days and have the arsenal game this weekend), AV will beat at least one of CP and WHU, maybe both. It's going to be very very close.
Not much faith in Spurs ? I think they will at least get a point as Bournemouth just seem so hopeless - particularly at home. Jose won't want to lose to Bournemouth just because the big Arsenal game is coming up as he wants European football. Altmogh he will probably use the 3 games in 6 days excuse if they don't do well.
Bournemouth do cause teams problems and they can score goals even against good sides, however, they are so poor at the back. They do remind me of us though. Got some good players, but are a bit flaky quite often. I think Spurs should be too strong for them tomorrow, but if Bournemouth were to get an unexpected result, it would probably be this one. Having said that, I still expect them to lose. I also expect Villa to lose, although they do concern me. I get the feeling they have a good result in them, and they just need the luck to go for them in one of these games to pick up a good result. United are playing very well right now and would be a major surprise to me if Villa get anything from this game. So that would leave the table looking West Ham P33 Pts 31 Gd -18...….Burnley (h ), Norwich (a ), Watford (h ), Man Utd (a ), Villa (h ) Watford P34 Pts 31 Gd -22...…….Newcastle (h ), West Ham (a ), City (h ), Arsenal (a ) Villa P33 Pts 27 Gd -26…………..Man Utd (h ), Palace (h ), Everton (a ), Arsenal (h ), West Ham (a ) Bournemouth P33 Pts 27 Gd -27..Spurs (h ), Leicester (h ), City (a ), Southampton (h ), Everton (a ) If you were going to cherry-pick opponents, then you probably wouldn't change too much when you look at West Ham's final 5 games. They should be safe and pick up plenty of points from those games. They'll probably end up with over 40 points in the end. So it's really a three-way shootout between us Villa and Bournemouth for the two relegation places, assuming Norwich are now gone. This is why it's so important we beat Newcastle. I believe Villa or Bournemouth could have another 6 points in them, certainly potentially. We need to get those 3 points to ensure we mentally crush them. If we beat Newcastle, that would mean either Villa or Norwich would need at least 7 points to overtake us. If they both lose on Thursday, then asking either one of those sides to pick up 7 points from their final 4 matches, is a big ask and probably would be beyond them.
Moyes complaining about the schedule but it's worked ok for them in the last 2 games! https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/sport/amp/football/53325681
Eric Dier has just been banned for four games for them and he's probably been their best CB since the restart. I still expect them to win vs Muff, but it'll def make things a bit tighter.
Dier banned for 4 matches. He seems pretty lynchpinny to Jose's formation. Bournemouth licking their lips.
Because they played on monday and play arsenal at the weekend, have been crap, have nothing to play for, and hate eachother.....
No I don't really either, I would assume that people saying this have not watched them play recently they have conceded 12 goals in their last 4 games and been beaten 4-1 at home to Newcastle and their goal was a late consolation scrambled in by Dan Gosling. Only chance they have got is Tottenham have played quite a few games recently because from what I have seen Bournemouth are worse than Norwich.
I assume that Tottenham will still want to get a Europa spot even if a Champions League place is not achievable, so they will still have that to play for. I think Bournemouth may be in with a chance if the Spurs players are tired, however I think Tottenham will have too much going forward for them.
What we need are clean sheets for the rest of the season if we can do that we should be home and dry, but that is a big IF Come on BIG BEN you can do it
Putting aside the fact that we're probably going to get hammered by City, three clean sheets and we're probably there, 7/8 points for Villa and Bournemouth in their last 5 games will be a tough ask. Nick a win out of one of those and we're laughing
West Ham aren't going down with their fixtures/squad, so not worth getting too excited about this one
I said exactly the same thing last night to my friend who supports West Ham and he said they are no better than we are, if their squad was that good they would not be level on points with us. I still think they have got the fixtures though. I am just hoping that they need to pick up a result against Villa on the last game.
Norwich have to win a game sooner or later. I think they'll beat West Ham. Bookmark this post you swines.
Spam not winning this if they play for a month Burnley as usual are as resilient as Troy Deeney's belly
Massive game for them now at Norwich. If they don't win that then the game against us is huge and of course, IT'S LIVE
