Any vinyl junkies out there getting ready to queue up all night and pay extortionate prices* for a bit of circular music? I did a few years ago but that side of it doesn't attract ant more. Going to a record shop on Saturday afternoon to listen to some local bands whilst having a browse through what's left after the ebay scalpers have got their fill is a good way to spend an hour or so given the FA Cup Finalists v FA Cup Non-Finalists match is on Monday. * eg. Queen: Bohemian Rhapsody OST on 2LP picture disc @ £55 or Bohemian Rhapsody 7" single on coloured vinyl @ £17 Madness: One Step Beyond picture disc single £21 The Police: Message In A Bottle 7" double pack £20 I'm all for supporting independent record shops over your HMVs of this world (although sad the Watford branch closed recently) but not at those prices!
