Basically, make a team of players who've played for the club / support the club playing elsewhere who you'd imagine would play for the shirt. Not necessarily the strongest team - which is why I left Barnes out as I've always had the impression he would lean to Liverpool. Not sure about Smith or Porter ... maybe on the subs bench? Alan Mayes and Roger Joslyn must get a place somewhere.
What about John Barnes. Found a clip of the Semi Final v Plymouth in 1984, hell of a ball in for Reilly. Happy memories, lead to Watford's first (and also mine,) trip to Wembley. Still think Andy Gray is a ***t.
Barnes is always announced on TV and radio as ex Liverpool and ex England. If he were truly yellow he'd shout "Oi! No! I'm not avin it!" He is obviously a turn coating cahunt of the highest order He is a 'Glory Player'
