I think it's unlikely to be both (not itk or anything just a hunch). Clearly both positions are crying out for a player who is a cut above what we already have. If you were to pick one of these positions to throw 15-20m at, which would it be?

No need to throw 15-20m at any of the positions. What we have seen from the Pozzo recruitment is generally the more money spent, the less inpact is made. 5-8m is the price of player we should aim for

I would buy a quality centre back and then bring a forward in on loan. Buying a forward is usually more risky, but if he is rubbish we can send him back.

I have more faith in a fit Cathcart and Kabasele than Deeney and Gray. I'd rather take a gamble that we aren't going to have so many injuries this year and buy a striker

I'd like to see us strengthen at full back and midfield before we start fannying about with stoppers and scorers.

Absolutely a quality striker, we already have some decent CB's IMO, but all our strikers are rubbish.

Maybe. I'm just taking into account that Fulham have just thrown £25 million at a new player and Wolves are clearly going to splash out. Obviously price doesn't necessarily dictate the quality and hopefully Gino et al can bring in a Chaloba-esque deal. Just trying to guage which position we are weaker in!

True, we have lacked quality in midfield since Charlie Miller left.

Need to offer Everton €25m + €5m add ons for Silva as main priority.

Every successful side has a striker that can find the net.

We need a striker before we sign anyone else!

Every moderately successful side has a defence who can close out games.

We need to come down at least on one side or the other

Every successful side has at least eleven players and a manager, so I would say we are going to have a good season

It would 100% be a striker for me.

Let's be honest, our strike force is woeful for this level, and whilst I think we are a bit weak centre back too, I would be reasonably confident in a partnership of Kabasele and Cathcart/Kaboul (in an alternate reality where he is fit to play) and we've also added Navarro who is supposedly comfortable there.

    Striker, for sure.

I genuinely struggle to wish the team well when that humongous turd is on the pitch.

Don't sit on the fence...which one do you mean (clue - from a choice of two)?
