As I've said all along, the only way things will get cleared up is by a series of fan forums where the questions aren't known beforehand, and where the person asking the question gets a right to reply to answer.

Ask a probing question, and if the answer is pure obfuscation and waffle, then you should get the right to say so and probe further.

It would be much easier to stomach if there was an acceptance that we had to change our approach and communicate when and how they will accomplish this to us, so we're all on the same page. Even if there was disagreement at least we could see the club was trying to involve us and when things do inevitably hit low points a bigger picture is at least there to help smooth it over and ultimately improve us. I would have much preferred us to go with the approach of a rebuild with the aim of another serious promotion push in 2 or 3 seasons time when the decks have been cleared and refreshed and focused ethos in place with the above set in place. We went for a defensive disciplinarian coach who was generally getting results despite the football on show as it was ultimately getting results. Watford sack him because his football was dour and the squad didn't like it. We then have to scrape the barrel to get in a coach who... does the same idea except worse. All because we don't have faith in our own initial decisions which then hurts us financially and reputationally putting us into a vicious spiral with panic decision making.

Instead, we fell into the trap every relegated teams does which is persisting with the same ideas that led to our demise in the first place. We don't have any idea how we really want to play; just that we want to get promoted. But you don't get promoted again with this in place, or very rarely anyway. Covid exacerbated this issue immensely as well. Write or paste your text here to have it checked continuously.

Only works if they intend to reply. As @wfcmoog said, no one moaned on the way up. So why would they see moaning on the way down as anything other than football fans being football fans?

In my defence, I did moan on the way up.

Actually, is this same trust that was run by some professor who was lapping up the media interviews around the time of the takeover?

I remember he came on here once saying he'd answer questions only to run away when they got a bit too hard for him.

Forgive me for thinking, hoping even that they may have a semblance of integrity and honour about them.
I HAVE learned from this mistake and I will not make it again!

Time to unleash the snake outfit in a one woman Covid-compliant protest outside the club shop?

    Another question....
What is Giaretta's position in all of this.?
Not been around that long but the sum of in and out player moves lately makes it sound like he's just a bargain basement hoover scout, looking for free signings, and that's about it.
I get the feeling the key onus now is picking up free U23 players and hoping that over the next 2 seasons we have a few that come through to bolster the squad....?

Is that a bad thing though? He will be judged on the quality of recommendations and how they pan out. There's no harm in doing that. In fact for a smallish club, this type of thing is vital. But any Joe can pick up young talent. Young players are being released all the time. It's very easy to sign and stockpile this type of player. The proof will be a couple of years down the line and how they turn out. How good is his judgement. This is what will define how successful he's been, but it's early days and he shouldn't be tarred with the Giraldi brush just yet.

Was just reading an article on the WO and someone in the comments said about this video of Hall and Deeney before the play off final and they are so right,
The arrogance from Deeney and the way he speaks about others, who on earth thought it was a good idea to make him captain, no surprises that we have been on a downward spiral ever since then.
“he can talk as he is putting the ball in the net, only the 20 times”
Have a word with yourself now then Roy!
    Here’s the vid

The Athletic have put out a (largely unrelated) article today that's very interesting on the shape of training in the modern game, and firstly it provides us with a bit of nostalgia:

But more pertinently, they go on to speak to Chris Davies, Brendan's assistant manager at Leicester, and he has something very interesting to say about the structure of training sessions:

Does that put you in mind of anyone you might know...? (conjecturally-speaking, of course)
