This year you would say Arsenal, Man U, Man city, Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea will not get relegated. In the past you would add Everton as they have had nearly 60 years in the top division, and again i see little prospect of them get relegated. That leaves 13 clubs who this year could be in the bottom three at the end of the season. I am not that confident of our survival. Last year Norwich got relegated because they did not strengthen the squad sufficiently in the summer and Aston Villa and Newcastle had the worst managers in the Premiership. On that basis, you would say Burnley and Hull could struggle again to have a consecutive Premiership season. Who has the worst managers among the remaining teams? Ourselves and MBoro have managers unproven in the Premiership. i would have us us down in the bottom 6 for most of the season. If we avoid a lot of injuries and our goalscorers remain in form we stand a chance of avoiding relegation. But it would not be a shock if we do go down. My end of season prediction therefore is

    15. Watford
    16. Bmuff
    17. Midboro
    18. Swansea
    19. Burnley
    20. Hull

Hull,Burnley,Middlesbrough or Sunderland going down.Watford play 352 and Fight for top six,and I am not joking.

  3. We never once looked down last season, we've kept every key player, and we've strengthened every position

There is no way we are going down, I'm with Highgrade on this, although more top half than top 6

I think we will be relegated this season. Any two from: Hull, Burnley, Sunderland, CP, WBA and Boro may join uș.
Bournemouth may struggle, but l sadly feel that they will survive. Financial cheats do prosper. At £61million in debt at the end of 2015/16 season and with the money that haș been spent on transfers so far, they need to stay up.

We have better players added to the team a better formation in place,Players that love the club and are fully committed to Watford and have turned down big moves,We have added some top notch players and more to come.We have kept Troy the fans and the club are making big moves forward,If you are a Watford fan this has to be the best postion we have ever been in.Cant wait for the season to begin bring on Southampton.

Hull are down before a ball is kicked, no player and no boss.

Burnley may surprise people if Gray gets in among the goals so I would say it's between us and 'boro if so. WBA will struggle big time but Pulis will keep them up, just.

I hope you are right. Yes we have signed some new players, but as we finished in relegation form last season and still lack anyone in midfield who can score, l think we will struggle. I hope l am wrong :)

This the form table for last 16 games of last season.

    http://weekendfootball.co.uk/analysis/form.asp?l=1&season=16&formtype=&gamescount=16

I think the relegation candidates will come from Palace, WBA, Hull, Boro, and one other dark horse team that will come from the unexpected.

I think Sundrland under Moyes will do well and Muff are attacking enough to win enough games although they will get spanked often and have a poor transfer policy, so will, never evolve beyond lower mid table.

Tactically astute and well drilled teams with a decent goal scorer will generally come at least lower mid table ( this describes Watford at our current stage IMO ) as there will always be several teams that have quality players but with poor morale , or teams who just lack quality.ie Hull

So to go down I'm picking Hull, Palace and WBA.

    Err, impossible to call

The form we were in 2H of last season, a new unproven manager in the Prem, a new formation, new players, higher expectancy, notorious second season

    Vs

Kept nucleus of squad, Hull and Burnley will go down so only one place left, improved squad, money to strengthen

    We will be 10th

Burnley are 100% dead certs for relegation. Same team, same manager who failed before. Norwich tried it and failed miserably, and they had/have better players than Burnley. Same for Hull, although they haven't even got a manager so could be even worse than Burnley! Not sure about Middlesbrough, but i expect Karanka to be gone by Christmas. We will be fine even after a fairly treacherous start to the season.

Can't believe people are even saying we are going to be near the bottom of the table,All I can say is Watford are staying up and I don't have one bit of doubt about that and I have been watching them for 38 years now.we are not little old Watford anymore. We will get between 7 or 9 points from the first 5 games watch and see.

Remember how outraged many were last year because we were favourites to go down just because we were a small club that had just been promoted.

Don't see how we can say Burnley and Hull are guaranteed to go down. Admittedly losing Bruce is a big blow for Hull, it I don't see why Burnley can't have a chance of staying up. Norwich almost stayed up this year and they are better than them .

Yea it's not because they are small clubs though. They're nowhere near as strong as we were when we came up, and last summer we invested massively in top-flight ability players to add to the ones we already had. So far Hull & Burnley has signed not one single player that belongs in this division. The window's still open of course but they need to get a move on. Time's running out.

(Burnley are not better than Narrch BTW)

  22. If I was really seriously petrified, like a little girl, of failure, I would say we'd go down this season. Fortunately, I am quite relaxed about the unlikely prospect of relegation, and so do not have to ward off evil by declaring doom and destruction at the Vic in 2016/17.

I reckon we'll do anything from 5 to 12, and consider that to be our 'mini-league', possibly even making it into the top four on occasions. I reckon we could be a surprise package in the early games, and could get a surprisingly good start, then settle down.

I don't give a dog's doodah who goes down because I am a Watford fan, and really don't give much of a damn about any other team, though I am very tempted to put £50 on Maurinho to be gone by Christmas.

If things go to poop, then f##k it. We can get Slav back for a season of piddling on the minnows below. I'd enjoy that.

I'm confident Watford won't go down. I'm fully aware that it's certainly not guaranteed, and we have to earn it just like everybody else, but I'm confident.

if we dont get a couple of decent creative attacking mids I might put a cheeky bet on us for the drop , but trusting Gino has someone lined up !

Seems pundits and some on here think Muff will stay up and we wont. Muff have once again brought over priced players from the championship or big teams cast offs. I think when one of the bigger teams starts to fail and sack the manager St Eddie will be off. He is to Muff what GT was to us in the 80s. when he goes so will Muff.

I will say again all 3 teams who came up will struggle. Add WBA, Sunderland, Muff (as noted already) and Palace (until they get a striker) will all be in the bottom half. As for us, I think we will be in the bottom half but like last season never really look like going down. Playing the bigger teams at the start at home before they have time to settle could be a good thing. lets be honest 1 win out our first 3 home games would be massive. if we can fluke an away win as well in the first 3 we will be ok.

At present, Hull, Burnley and us. Our squad is devoid of any real creativity or goals, and has been built with the idea that 3-5-2 will be playable the whole season. We'll be left playing square pegs in round holes if we eventually ditch it.
