Preferred timeslot for Watford games

With all these Friday night kick offs I thought it would be interesting to canvas our supporters about what is the favourite time for a Watford match.

 

3pm Saturday.

No brainer for me as my good friends DJ Khalid and Justin Bieber will agree.

 

Most games should be 3pm Saturday, with a few Tues/Wed evening games in a season.

 

For atmosphere : Evening games on a saturday

For maximising attendance : 3pm games on Saturday

Saturday's the best day really but I do like mid-week games myself because it gives me something to look forward to after a long day at work.

Monday 9am just to **** up the ring road.

 

Saturday early evening for me. 3pm is too early.

 

I don't care as long as it's not Friday or Monday night.

 

Sunday and Monday is a bit **** if you've got work the day after.

 

Young lady is pushing it, she's 48 now.

Saturday 3pm. Tuesday evening 7.45. Anything else is totally unacceptable

I voted Sat 3pm before seeing the bottom option. I'm actually 50/50 on both options. Why is there a full moon option but not a full sun option?

Would like the Tues Weds games to be 3pm ko also. Gives me time to get back to LB. for a few beers then take away. Fish & chips, curry or whatever.

While there are too many games moved to suit tv.. i do like an evening KO.
There's something about a game under lights that gives it an added drama.. and we've had many magical nights under the lights at the Vic.

Having said that Friday evening games are a bit naff. I don't like getting the (main) football interest out of the way ahead of the weekend and as i pointed out last week it messes with the natural order of things, in as much as it feels like Sunday on the Saturday.

Evening kick offs typically give the Vic a slither more (some) atmosphere.

Friday night matches are decent if they’re London away matches. I can sneak out of work at 4pm, drink until 7 and then continue at the game.

 

3pm on a hot and sunny Saturday in August although this year I’d like Saturday 18th May at 3pm please.

My thinking on a Saturday evening is:

I get 2 days off a week. Weekends are when I need to get stuff done that I'm too tired to do in the evenings during the week.. A match at 3pm on Saturday pretty much kills off Saturday afternoon when you factor in travel and a couple of fermented beverages afterwards.
An evening match has a bit more occasion for me. It also means you've got most of the day to do shopping, ferry the old folks about, mow the grass etc, whilst looking forward to the match later. Saturday is best becasue if it's a really decent result and you want to consume an excess of fermented beverages, there's Sunday morning to recover. It's what Sundays were invented for.

Unless you've got work of course, but I have done my 40+ years of that, so now I have my freedom. Which is why I'm now sitting in The Bears Head at Penarth enjoying a few pre match pints of Abbot.

 

Another Saturday game gone.... Arsenal now on Monday 15th April.

 

Abbot? The one decent think the Welsh have going for them apart from a singing voice and an over supply of melancholy is an array of decent beers.

 

I think between midnight and 6AM. Preferably sometime when I am asleep
