It is the same chap who said Holebas, Britos and Prodl hadn't taken part in the kit shoot. ******** merchant.

This is what happens when our transfer model is based on buying players on the cheap, where most players hadn’t kicked a ball in anger for some considerable time before joining us, or simply not used to the intensity of the. EPL. I accept Cleverley might be the exception, but the likes of Dacs, Deulofeu, Okaka, Chalobah, etc all fit that bill.

Maybe we need to sign players who have played in the EPL, are used to its intensity and worth spending a few quid on - a proper investment in the right transfers will surely reduce the costs associated with the medical team.

Is this Deulofeu news by one of those ever so funny banter merchants on Twitter? Is it that guy that got caught cheating on his missus on Tinder?

    Should just buy tough Northerners.

Their vowel sounds are obvious so even a non native speaker like Gino would quickly pick it up.

If the medical team had ask our players back straight away, they would be no need to have so many of them.

It is just basic job protection.

"This? Sorry Gino mate this but this is way more than a bruised toe. It was caused by something called a muscle imbalance, very complex only a few medical teams in the world can deal with it..."

Well Andre Gray has and that hasn't worked out well so far..

I don't think its to do with not understanding the league - loads of players come over and at least stay fit.

Just we seem to suffer a lot in training and when it comes to minor muscle injuries the issue turns into a big long term injury!

They have at most a 4 hour working day, what the **** does he need paternity leave for!?!?!?!

Maybe the baby's mother earns more than Kiko by working a five hour day and he has to look after the little 'un so they can pay the bills?

I've no idea King Dev, I'm just making up a reason because the club hadn't included him in their comprehensive injury round-up press release.

Lost count of the amount of times I've whined on here that Kaboul shouldn't even be at the club, because he literally cannot be relied upon to be a professional footballer and a member of our squad, and yet somehow a fog has descended over the eyes of our technical staff leading to them completely ignoring that, and continuing to make decisions based upon having the concept of Kaboul as a player available and in our squad.

This is the point of a clear out/removing dead weight from a squad, even if you have to be ruthless/not always get the absolute best deal for them; they don't then erroneously affect overall team planning and somehow bewitch the sporting director into thinking our centre back options are strong enough.

Unfortunately, we're not a Top Trumps team, so it doesn't matter whether you can read their listed abilities out, they actually have to demonstrate them in a competitive sense to draw any worth from them.

the picture was taken at 10 past 2, therefore he could start at 9am and still get 4 hours in and be with the baby at that time no problem, unless he has to rely on public transport!

We do actually have Watford Top Trumps, packed full of legends, IIRC though Kaboul isn't in there, so presumably unavailable, again!

That said he is rapidly becoming a legend, a mythical tale passed down through the years but so long ago did he play that nobody can actually recall it.

As pathetic as our injury record is, I'm not buying this.

There was a video recently on the Watford Instagram of Deulofeu doing sprints in training, must have been only just over a week ago. Hopefully we've just been being careful with him and he'll feature in some form this weekend.

Many of the so-called injured have been training.
    Obviously quote me when :
    a) all our best players less Cleverly play against Brighton or
    b) our u23's play supported by 4 senior pro's on crutches.

And Chalobah just being held back too ?

  21. Chalobah and Deulofeu were rushed back last year, clearly not fit or ready. It could be they have been re-doing their rehab again properly.

Rushed back? He played 18 minutes of the last game of the season, having been out since September.

Still got his Watford shorts on - at least we know where his heart is!:)

  27. Coming on at Utd was a PR exercise. No way he was 100%.

    So yes, rushed back.

  28. Keighley

Well, that’s a pretty damn stupid way to run a football club and to manage someone’s career. What was the point? Most of us were resigned to him not playing again for the season. If there was really a need to make a PR point, why not stick him on for two minutes of injury time?

Anyway, would 18 minutes of game time really set back rehabilitation that much?

  29. Didn't feature in any u23 games team sheets, impossible to be match fit or match sharp after being out for most of the season.

PR exercise, to appease all the ***** bitching about injuries and our **** end to the season.

I think it was just incompetence. They thought he was fit and he wasn’t.

Mind you, it would be the first time in living memory that a WFC player came back sooner than they should have.

Doubt the club give a flying fark about what the fans think.

I suspect he was given a run out as a reward for his rehab. He may well have told the staff he felt fine, motivated by a potential World Cup place
