Here's the plan from England Hockey. I was told in a meeting that post step 4 there are plans A-F to cover all eventualities. Poster here.
RFU are also looking at their protocols. Given the way idiots are still behaving mainly those whose age matches their IQ I think all these steps will be dragged out. It does have long term implications for development of kids as future athletes.
England Hockey have updated the plan (we're at Step 4) and it has been communicated to senior club officials that the are Plans A-H (not widely disclosed) to get to Step 5. Updated FAQs (on the 24th Aug).
Hot off the press: step 5 is announced with competitive matches to commence at the end of month: http://www.englandhockey.co.uk/news...tep+5+of+Return+To+Play+guidelines§ion=22
Our winter county leagues are supposedly back but nothing nationally and no seniors tournaments until 2021 although there are some abroad.
Although I have been doing socially distanced rugby training for the last 6 weeks, we officially start our season today. However the Herts RFU decided a while back that there are to be no fixtures with other clubs until January.
...the end of the world is nigh: England Hockey appear to be masters of foresight, planning and giving help, wise guidance and assistance to local clubs...
Saying that EH have just announced their strategies for training and playing utilising the new local alert levels: https://i.emlfiles4.com/cmpdoc/3/4/2/6/2/files/705525_covid-alert-levels-infographic.pdf As I sated previously I am absolutely gobsmacked at how professional and organised they are.
