    Just read this:

Blackburn could be ready to battle it out with Watford for the services of Manchester United defender Phil Bardsley in January.
The 21-year-old is thought to be pondering a move away from Old Trafford as his first-team opportunities are limited due to the likes of Gary Neville, Wes Brown and John O'Shea all ahead of him in the right-back reckoning at United.
Bardsley was loaned out to Glasgow Rangers in August, but he has been restricted to just five starts after falling out with coach Paul Le Guen at Ibrox and his availability could spark a New Year transfer window scramble.

Rovers boss Mark Hughes is thought to be keeping tabs on Bardsley in anticipation of a raid on his club for contract rebel Lucas Neill, while Watford boss Adrian Boothroyd is looking to strengthen his ranks in a battle to avoid relegation and is also said to be interested.

The Hornets have signed goalkeeper Ben Foster and Chris Eagles on loan from United and might feel their good relationship with Sir Alex Ferguson would see them come out on top in a race for Bardsley.

I can see him arriving on loan, not to sure if we would buy him outright.

Never really seen him play. I know SAF usually gives him a game in the League Cup but that's about it.

Why would SAF keep hold of him until he's 21 if he doesn't see him either making the 1st team or getting some money for him.

Seen him play a few times, he's quality IMO. Would be worth a few bob.

Sounds good but I'm thinking only as a loan. I reckon he'd be out of our range for an outright purchase, spose it depends on whether SAF considers he has a ManUre future.
