Everyone always talks about how young the Arsenal team is but we fielded a younger team on Boxing Day. Aidy is clearly sticking to his roots by looking for younger players. This is probably something to do with his budget but we are now a very youthful squad with the exception of Malky, Chris Powell and AC. Our average age on Boxing Day was 23, Arsenal 24 and, in last night's game, Charlton 26 and Fulham 27. This has to be good for the future.
Young team, re-developed stadium, 3 years maybe we can be better prepared for another crack at the Premiership. We could still stay up, but if we don't the players will have learnt so much. Just look how much Gav has improved this season! Also most (all) of them will know the Championship, so i think we'd be well prepared at another promotion effort. Our finances wont be in a dire state if we go down...no need for doom and gloom, leave that to the Charlton, Middlesborough and West Ham fans
