Old thread is locked but we've been linked again in the mail:

Watford interested in Norway captain and Olympiacos right-back Omar Elabdellaoui after Vicarge Road boss Marco Silva had him on loan at Hull
    • Watford boss Marco Silva wants to sign Norway captain Omar Elabdellaoui
    • The talented 25-year-old Olympiacos right-back has worked his Silva previously
    • Silva took him on loan when he was manager of Hull City last season
    • Elabdellaoui had a spell at Manchester City as a teen but failed to make progress
Watford are among the clubs showing keen interest in signing Olympiacos right-back Omar Elabdellaoui.

The 25-year-old is a Norway international but counts as a homegrown player in England owing to the time he spent at Manchester City who he joined as a 16-year-old.

Elabdellaoui is out of contract next summer and free to talk to foreign clubs from January with Huddersfield Town also showing interest plus Benfica, Sporting Lisbon, Spartak Moscow and Stuttgart.

Watford manager Marco Silva worked with Elabdellaoui last season while he was on loan at Hull City and is keen to work with him again while boosting their homegrown quota.

Elabdellaoui captained Norway against Germany last week and has also led out Olympiacos this season. He can play right-back and right midfield.

I wonder if the Mail article writer could let us know whether Marco Silva had him on loan at Hull or not?

Would that mean we'd have to play Dja Djedje?

Could be the domino effect transfer that we ve all been waiting for , which then frees up Simeone for the much rumoured move to Sheff Wed therefore releasing Pudil to Derby, Vydra to Sheff Wed and then Simeone from Sheff Wed to Watford on loan .

You heard it here first .

I suggested Tsimikas on here last month:

"Thinking about left backs, how about replacing our current left-back - who is the former Greece and Olympiakos left-back, with Champion's League experience - with the current Greece and Olympiakos left-back, with Champion's League experience? Konstantinos Tsimikas seemed pretty good in the highlights vs Spurs. Just 23 as well."
