They were playing for penalties the whole match. Some awful pond-dwelling cheating taking place. Even if I was a neutral, I'd be delighted that they lost in such excruciating circumstances.
Could not have been better. 2 down on aggregate. Fought back to take the lead with a penalty from a disgraceful dive. Then blew it with 2 late goals in front of the home fans end. The faces behind the goal were even better than the 0-4 first half beating we gave them. The evening could not have been more perfect. Oh and their ex striker scored most of their goals over the 2 ties. And ex Hornet Aldred in the pool side ! Made my evening. Another year playing Crewe, Accrington etc. Very funny.
And he set up the first goal last night with some excellent play. I have to say, on the basis of these 2 games, Cullen looks like a very decent footballer. At that level at least.
