My flight next Friday lands in Luton at 22.50 so it'll be pretty late when we get to our apartment (central Watford). The plan is to have a few drinks in the apartment just as opposed to heading out. Do any off-licences stay open late on Fridays in Watford? Preferably 1am but midnight could work for us.
Tesco Metro on the high St. is open to midnight. Failing that you've got the Tesco Megastore which is 24hours but a little out of town. Most of the pubs /clubs & bars will be open to the early hours. You might be best off getting something at the airport tbh.
Can you get alcohol on the way out of Luton airport? We've been to the Tesco Megastore before but we were worried if they stop selling alcohol at a certain time. Over here in NI, even if the Tesco story is 24 hours, they stop selling alcohol at a certain point.
Don't know about the airport I tend to want to get out of that hell hole as quickly as possible. Re selling booze out of hours 24hr is fine but it's down to the local authority if they want to restrict it so down to each individual shop's licence.
There's a 24hr M&S Food Store literally right next door to the arrivals gate that sells a very acceptable range of 'thinking juice'.
