Maybe so, but remember they are also a few years older now and certainly not as pacey as they once were. Deeney especially has shown this with his constant up and downs in weight and general fitness. Cannot be certain about Iggy but he has been rumoured to have been back at the Vic a few times as a spectator. Possibly still has some love for the club, but in reality, even in the Championship, they would struggle. We need to play the youth we do have - before another team snatches them up and we are forced to play whatever dead wood is left from this season.
You joke, but it's a good policy. Iggy will score goals in the Champ and so will Deeney, Gray and Welbeck. We'll come storming back. Not sure why everyone is so glum. We'll actually win a league next season. It's going to be fantastic.
With respect, I think you are somewhat deluded that we will come back up again. 18/19 Huddersfield, Fulham and Cardiff relegated. 17/18 West Brom, Stoke and Swansea relegated 16/17 Hull, Middlesbrough and Sunderland relegated. Their supporters probably thought the same as you do.
I'm used to people on here scoffing at what I say, only for time to prove me to be correct. I'll add you to the very long list.
Would want a bigger champ team than us with a better chance of promotion. Remember he belongs in the prem.
I actually agree with you here HB1!!! There needs to be a bit of a clear out but we do have some talented younger players who would do well in the Championship. Not sure what would happen with players like Cucho and Pedro though.
Rather have a few years in the Championship than anymore of this EPL crap. Hopefully the 'On TV the most 6' will have ****ed off to a Super league by the time we return.
