Who remembers this short and sometimes skillful player? Does anybody know if he's still playing now, or has retired? I remember he scored a good individual goal against Norwich in about 2000.
He was playing for Panathianikos last season in the Champions League. By the looks of this he's in Turkey now. Still only 30 so must have a couple more years in him yet. http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nordin_Wooter
I remember him, he was a good skillful player when he could put the effort in but he was too inconsistant.
Good player, possibly the most bizarrely named Watford player ever. Apart from maybe Toonarmy Dihorea;D
I remember him very well. he had the same cult status that Al Bangura has now. I think it was Wooter who scored the 3rd against Kaiserslautern at the Vic when we beat them 3-1 ish! Quality player, I always liked him.
We didn't play Kaiserslautern when we had Wooter, I think your getting him confused with someone else, as we be Kaiserslautern in the eighties and were the first English team to beat them.
I'm easily confused I agree, so I'm off to check now EDIT: Yes, unless we played Kaiserslautern in 1999 onwards then I'm being a pillock. Please ignore! Worrel Stirling, Nordin Wooter, same person? Definately...
ha ha Kaiserslauten, I think we played them a couple of years after I was born! Did we play them in about 1985??
I remember him, did some lovely little runs, very good at skinning people, but as mentioned he could be inconsistent, Macnamee reminds me of him a bit, albeit a smaller version!!
i got a video of him!!! i had never seen him before this. WHAT A GOAL! http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=1313073077
Blimey, Wooter seems to have improved with the passage of time. I remember him as a pacey winger, flying up the pitch, skinning a couple of players and then running into a dead end. Time after time. Rarely did anything come of his jinxy runs.
totally agree, Wooter is a typical man, gets your blood racing then....... just realised this is general football not the steam room, so that sentence finishes there
now Worrell Stirling, there was a cracking player, never really got the attention he deserved because we had barnesey, cally and luther. Was always reliable off the bench. Can't remember to much about wooter, another that failed, more often then not, to reach the heights that his skill/talent lead u to think he would reach.
It's the Watford way, we sign talented players who star to begin with. Then eventually as time progresses they get dragged down into the Watford mire. Take Damien Francis for example, I'm sure he was quite good once (i.e at Norwich and Wigan), but now Watford is starting to rub off on him he's turning into the new Carlton Palmer.
