Fulham bought 12 new players and most of them didn't suit Jokanovic's style of play, were unfit and/or injured.
He managed Fulham in just 12 games so it's not entirely his fault they conceded 81 goals.
Also there were definite signs of improvement in their last game when he put Arsenal loanee Chambers in midfield, something that both Ranieri and Parker later did and he was their best player in most of their games since moving from cb to cm.
There were also a lot of behind the scenes stuff too that obviously didn't help.
I'm not saying he's definitely good enough for Premier League but I think he should have been given a chance to lead Fulham in more than 12 Premier League games. Also, I've had conversations with many Fulham fans online and most of them share my opinion.

Hahaha I tried to be. I'm not gonna lie, I became a Watford fan because of Jokanovic, but I continued to be a fan even after he left. I think i have been pretty objective and, as I said, most Fulham fans I know (through internet ofc) agree with me.

Why do people always exaggerate someone else's point? I never called him a tactical genius. All I said he was I thought he was good tactically and better than the three we've had this season.

I wouldn't necessarily rule him out because Fulham had a bad defensive record. You don't want him, that's fine and is your opinion. I wouldn't have an issue if he came back though.

I said I’d have him in the championship, I think we need to look elsewhere/aim higher in the Premier League though. The only evidence we have is that he’s out of depth at the top level which should be enough to rule him out.

He was Mr Watford in his day and actually made at least one appearance in every position for WFC including in goal.

He also was a very astute and intelligent man, that many fans thought had all the attributes to become a manager of our club one day.

So maybe that day has finally arrived UEA?

Yeah but you rated Pearson and he went ahead and said unquotable things to our players. As long as Puel minds his manners and knows the value of discretion, we will welcome him. For 4 months.

It's because we have no direction as a club.

How can we feel a coach is doing what is right for our philosophy when we don't have one? We sign players because they are available, not because we need them and we don't have any overarching plan.

We are a shambles and it stems from the owner.

It's pretty obvious who it will be. An ex-forum regular who has vanished. He has been buying his time, waiting for the right time to leap in and save
our season and club. We all know who I am talking about.

This is a big reach and I doubt he would ever come here...But if you look at his managerial career before his last job...

@hornetboy1 you are closer to matters over there - any chance of Ernesto Valverde? It would be a massive coup and I can't see it. But before Barca, he was at Bilbao and Olympiakos so wasn't exactly a huge name.

Erm....no.....he wouldn't be going to Watford, although would be brilliant. I only mentioned Setién because he is going to be sacked in a couple of days (probably) and we did make an approach before Pearson was appointed.

He turned us down because he didn't want to come into a mess mid-season. That's not his style. I like him though, although Barca was a little too big for him in all honesty. He'd be great at Watford. A brilliant tactician and I love his views on football. He's very inspiring and intelligent.

The fact he went to Barca probably puts him now in a different stratosphere, but shows how much others thought of him too.

As I thought about Valverde. I suspect he will turn up in China or the Middle East for a huge payday.

For everyone saying Cowley or Lee Johnson as good young English managers, then why not Mullins full time?

If I was to put money on a Pozzo coach, he's the one I bet they'd go for. For sure he'd be on their radar. Another excellent tactical manager, but I'm not convinced he would want to work in England.

He's very experienced though, and is only 54. He would be a major coup for Watford, but I'm not sure we'd be attractive enough for him. I think Arsenal and Everton were looking at him in the past.

They would certainly have to let him do things his way though if they got someone like him.
