Good to see Chalobah back on the bench. Still no Deeney.

I've been going to the matches since 1969, i believe John Barnes was the most skilful player I have ever seen play for us! That's just my opinion but as a 17 year old he was able to do things with the ball I had never seen before, I believe because he left us and then went up a level at Liverpool and actually won things he kinda forgets about little old Watford! Callaghan although very good unfortunately didn't apply himself to his ability and underperformed as a result (hope that makes sense)

I'm a bit disappointed Masina is out, I thought he was improving every game.bbut no big deal providing he gets another little run soon.

I said after the Huddersfield game that Masina looked a bit suspect so I’m pleased with Holebas coming back in. We have a good settled side that should have plenty of confidence, let’s not kickstart the season of a struggling team please.

Correct decision from Gracia in making the one change - Masina did alright but definitely looked the poorest performer amongst our good performances, while Holebas has generally been very good. Touch wood he's back to his early season set-piece form.

Sounds like we are finding out why Deulofeu isn’t at a top 6 club. Terrorising the Newcastle defence but then the proverbial barn door line comes into play.

Disappointing result for us - sounds like we had a few chances first half but gave away a soft goal from a free kick and didn't have much in reply.

Okaka is terrible. How anyone even rates him or considers him a good substitute is a piss take.

Heartless and shameful second half display that has knocked us back into reality. Sort yerself out Gerard, embarrassing attempts at shooting

Another three points thrown away. Should have buried them in the first half. Some very poor attitude from certain players notably Holebas and Doucoure and Pereyra arethe only ones to emerge with distinction late on.

Some appalling misses. Newcastle are terrible and will struggle all season. We were well below par. Miles below par especially with the finishing. Deulofeu was the chief culprit. Needs to learn how to pick his spot, dummy the second ball and keep his head up. Appalling to lose to what is a really poor team and one that made three changes too. Yedlin deserves a ban for his pathetic simulation as well.

You won't see many better examples of a game where the result doesn't match the chances created than that. Profligacy in front of goal cost us that today. Yes, Gracia could have changed things up sooner in the second half, when they were pressing, but it wasn't exactly waves of attacks from Newcastle. We desperately need a clinical striker - you can't ask for a more obvious advert for that than today.

Poor wasteful performance against a dreadful team. Holebas was wretched so hope we bring Masina back. Okaka should be nowhere near this squad.

We desperately need a top class striker. Success was pretty decent and the referee should have awarded him a few more free kicks. He was being clearly impeded several times. He still has to learn that he cannot let his head drop and start flailing his arms like a petulant child. Keep going.

Watford can be a real charity case. How many sitters did we miss? Same old story. At half time it was obvious how this game was going to pan out. We are suffering for a lack of a goal scorer. Arsenal, Fulham and now today. Should have yielded 9 points, yet we just have 1. Good job the "goal of the season" finishes have not yet dried up.

We're the better team, but even against a canon-fodder side like Newcastle, you can lose if you miss your chances.

The worst defeat of the season by a mile. Such a gift give away. Watford, just when we think you've cracked it and are on the verge of doing something fantastic, they f*** it up. That just shows we are far too inconsistent and you just can never trust Watford.

No blame on Javi. He set us up very well. The players have got to take the blame for this one. You just cannot have 17 shots at goal and only 1 on target. It's not the first time this has happened either.

    Newcastle ffs....bl00dy Newcastle......geez.

Absolutely pathetic performance against an utterly woeful team.

First half bright but embarrassingly wasteful (got away with it last week, it wasn't going to happen again), second half slow, weak, ponderous and just generally useless.

Holebas - please, please just go away. I don't care if he played well in the first 2/3 games, the bloke has been absolutely useless far more often than not for 3 years, came back into the side today and did absolutely nothing but his usual of putting in absolutely awful set piece after absolutely awful set piece. Why Gracia saw it fit to bring him back after two clean sheets and Masina starting to find his feet I truly cannot fathom.

Special mention to Gray and Okaka too, who came on and offered absolutely f**king nothing, other than the latter useless lump missing our third sitter of the game. How and why Okaka is still a Premier League footballer I do not know.

His awful freekick right at the end, his throw in straight out of play and his stupid yellow card for getting in a fight that has nothing to do with him are just three reasons why José Holebas is the biggest idiot to ever play in a Watford shirt.

    Total clown.

  28. They did to us exactly what we've done to others in past seasons. Made up for lack of quality by being physical and out working us from the start, pressing hard, first to every 2nd ball. And we folded. It reminds me of that embarrassing performance away to.. Huddersfield was it?... in the championship.

Piss poor finishing doesn't cover up the issue with today.

I'd have pulled one of Hughes or Pereyra off and added Chalobah into the middle to give us some more bite, at least by 60 mins if not half time. Instead the gurning idiot throws on useless forward after useless forward in the hope something will change. If Okaka is the answer god knows what the question is.

You think he's got it, then stands on the touchline and then shows us why he hasn't. Did nothing to change the game.

    Piss poor all round.

He can be coached still. If he wants to practice hard. That shot at an acute angle was needless in the first half. Hold it up pick a player or just play it across the box. Or when being caught by Yedlin just check back hold up and beat him again. You can turn him inside out if needed. Or just wait for the support. Needs some upper body strength as well. You wont see Messi being shoved off the ball as easily as he is.

Terrible performance. Yes we were the better team in the first half but that doesn't matter when you are comparing yourselves to this Newcastle team. Why on earth is holebas allowed to take nearly every set piece?

    Where to start?

Delofeu - geez how many chances do you want?

Holebas - get suspended again, I'd rather have Masina playing.

Capoue/Doucoure - those cute little 5 yard balls back to Mapps or Cathcart - pay me half your wages as I could do that. We're a goal down, get up and support the front players

Okaka - how high do you want the goal?

Could tell they thought just turning up would guarantee the win. Awful attitude today...so lacksadaisic....sloppy.

We lost to a sh!t team, my accas lost and I didn't win the Euromillions...fecking weekend is ruined.

How Masina misses the first team is amazing. He looked to be settling in nicely. Masina in next week for certain. Holebas was appalling delivery wise. Not one decent corner. Not one. Does he actually keep practicing or think I've done well earlier in the season. I shall not bother anymore. Moronic behaviour at times and another needless card.

Jekyll and Hyde performance. Looked like world beaters 1st half without the shooting boots. 2nd half cudnt understand why the same energy and intensity dropped off.
