I feel our kit for this season is complete now.. no modern day kit should be without at least some Chinese writing on it!

 

Reading the write-up in the article, I like how the company are described as doing 'revolutionary' things in mobile betting which literally every other betting company already does.

A player from Paris Saint Germain - 5 titles since 2012/13, 4 Coup de France wins since 2014/15, 5 Coup de la Ligue since 2013/14 + Neymar.

A player from Barcelona - 5 La Liga titles since 2010/11, 5 Copa del Rey since 2011/12, UEFA Champions League winners 2014/15 + Messi.

These are three of the most successful clubs in Europe right now with the three highest profile players in the world.

Today WFC announced a new sponsor - MoPlay.

MoPlay is part of Addison Global Limited.

Addison Global Limited is company based in Gibraltar and was set up in 2018.

Anyone else feel like we're being used (or are a part of) a rather large PR/advertising campaign?

 

Not really, They paid & I presume any PR is good PR for the club as far as notoriety & the extended reach of worldwide branding is concerned.

What I am more surprised about is why 138 didn't block it, as in theory it's a direct competitor probably paying a fraction of what they are. Perhaps they're on the way out next season & there is a clause in there somewhere.

 

How would bet138.com block it??

 

Just how realistic are those three transfers though?

Guedes - we're never going to pay €60m for a player.
Alcacer - it's on, he's signing, the player is the hold up, Watford are stalling, IT'S ON, it's actually off.
Sturaro - £20m (or is it €20m?) for a midfielder when we're offering peanuts everywhere else.

It just seems a coincidence that today a brand new company has one of its brands announced as a sponsor.

Ah well, maybe I should get some fresh air. Coincidences happen as do pie in the sky transfers.

If you or I owned a multinational betting company & paid millions to invest as the main club shirt sponsor for X amount of years , wouldn't you think it fair to put a clause in to stop rival competitors in the same industry putting their logo for a fraction of the price next to yours? Personally speaking I would.

I would too. But then I'd probably not expect to have any say a full 12 months after my main club shirt sponsorship deal ended...

There's nothing wrong with it. If it raises the profile of the club in Europe then great!

It would just explain some of these weird rumours involving WFC coming out at the moment.

I'd agree if MoPlay hadn't contacted 'WD18' and 'Horneteffect' on Twitter and got them to tweet out their video. Hardly a massive PR move.

Not sure if it was more accounts, I've muted most of them.

They're saying on Twitter that it's valid for collection whenever. No expiry date.
