Somone whos best players have all been away at the world cup, spurs away maybe with kane having a longer rest and only half a pre season. Or someone with England players who are subject to embarrasment after record defeat to panama. Probably spurs again. Failing that Everton at home.

Agree. Feel it's more of a level playing field to have a top 6 fixture first game out. Prefer that than a newbie, better to have them ground down a bit first.
Very kind of the fixture computer to feel sympathy for us for our terrible away form so far under Gracia and give us 4 home matches from our first 5 fixtures! I guess this is because of Spurs new ground not quite being ready?
I think overall that's quite kind. Also 4 of our last 6 are at home too, so a lot of away travel in the winter months.
Could this be the season we finally win our opening match in the PL? After losses under GT and AB, followed by draws under QSF, WM and MS. Ironically the last time we won our opening match in the top division was under Bassett when we beat Wimbledon 1-0. We were relegated that season.

Yes the downside of that is they will be match ready by the time they play us. Better to play them later in the season when they are shattered !
According to the Spurs official statement, we agreed to switch our home and away games. That means we start with 4/5 home games but have 6/8 away in January and February.
