'What would you like for Xmas'? I said 'A Benfica victory';D ;D ;D I know its sad, but please don't give me the old pony about them being English, I'm sure you'd be the same regarding Luton. How are you all anyway, RES
Last year from my dad I got the best present I have ever got, shares in Watford, being a typical female I cried for about half an hour. Think it will take something to ever beat that!!!
When I was younger I asked my Mother what shall I be................. ............................ Here's what she said to me................... Your task today is to amend and complete the famous quotation line by line.
Will it be chips or jacket spuds.......hope its chips its chips, we hope its chips its etc. If you're old enough you'll remember that advert.

In the 1987/88 season I didn't finish work on a saturday till lunch time and by the time I got home and changed and got to the ground it was a lock out and the only way in was to buy a ticket off a tout. It was costing me a fortune so my mum offered to buy me a season ticket (they had a few left for the old Kemlyn Rd stand), it cost her £220, an absolute fortune for her(single parent) and I've had it ever since. Thanks Mum.
you'll have to go on post it on the new thread then. Your mum's lovely, my mum thinks I mad for liking football, she would never encourage me to go
The only reason my mum knew there were some season tickets left was because she was stood on the Kop when the announced that there were still a few left. She was a member of the Winsford supporters club and went to every game on the supporters bus but I was too late from work to catch it. She's not very good on her feet now so doesn't go any more. But in a round about way I have paid her back cos I pay for her monthly subscription to Sky Sports and pay for her Prem plus when LFC are on.
What a lovely son you are. I think if I bought that for my mum she would disown me, dad on the other hand would love it...
we hope it's chips it's chips I may show my age here but the "we hope it's chips" advert was recorded at Watford. I remember (as a very young child) someone on the pitch getting the crowd to sing it for the advert. It may of been filmed too.
