United have finally pulled the plug.

Michael Carrick will take over as care-taker boss.

Actually Manure tapping up Silva would be actually fecking hilarious. Give Everton some of their own medicine.

Shame. Anyone can beat Man U nowadays & that will likely change now.

How the mighty fall, but I guess the millions in severance pay will make up for it.

Hearing now, that Michael Carrick will be care-taker boss for 48 hours, then they will appoint another care-taker boss externally for the remainder of the season!!

Zidane is the early bookmakers' favourite.

….and they say the goings on at Watford is bonkers.

Reckon Pardew could do a job there.

    Warnock's only a 100-1 with Betfred.

With global warming, Sheffield's climate is improving.

  15. It would make my year if it's Silva, and Richarlison goes on strike again.

Mourinho's postings always end in tears, first season good, second season not quite so good, third season major fallout with players and the board because he believes he is bigger than the club!

No Jose you are an employee the club and fans will be there a lot longer than you will!

The Board deserve the blame for this, it was obvious as so many people pointed it out before he was appointed. He is poison.

Saint Eddie of Howe at Man Utd would be a media love in to rival Klopp and his glasses

Wonder where Mourinho will end up next. He's only 55, so is still young in managerial terms.

Can't see a job for him in England or Spain, unless he seriously lowers his status and I don't think his ego would allow that.

Only PSG, Juventus or maybe another big Italian club springs to mind.

Inter would welcome him back however Spalletti's doing a fairly decent job at the moment.

Allegri has won 4 titles in a row at Juve (it's 3 or 4 can't remember) but the prize they want is the Champions League and he's unpopular with some of the fans - they feel with the talent at his disposal they should have won the CL but his tactics aren't very good. So if he doesn't win then they could make the move. However, Mourinho left Italy because he didn't like the press or the league's attitude toward him, so I'm not sure he'd go back.

My guess, Real Madrid are struggling in La Liga and losing 3-0 at home to CSKA in the CL won't have endeared Solari to the fans and club. So a a return there could potentially happen.

If Zidane goes to Manure then there are 2 Bald Frauds in Manchester.

This will have made Mourinho's day. He has been angling for this for ages given the pay off he will receive now. Resigning would have paid him nothing. All the comments re players, liverpool being so far ahead, promised signings falling through....but he was very very happy there (ie you will have to sack me !)...very cleverly engineered.

My money would be on Wenger to take it on until the end of the season - and to keep the job if he does well and/or Pochettino doesn’t want it.

I think the Zidane thing is just appear talk - he’s said he doesn’t want to manage in the PL and he can’t speak the language. He also left Madrid after 2 years because of the stresses so he’s hardly the long-term safe hands appointment they need.

The statement they’ve made screams to me that they want Pochettino but know they won’t tempt him before the summer. They are probably also very aware that it’s a **** move to go for another PL manager mid-season....funny that.

He’s out of his depth now. Pep and Klopp have a system and know the exact players they need to execute that system. What is Mourinho’s stystem? The amount of changes he makes each week, he’s trying to adapt to, and stop the opposition, rather than having his own style of play. It was ok when Chelsea were the richest club in the league, but everyone has money now. Against better manages with equal resources he’s been found out.

I think we should all sign on with a Manure forum and start a campaign for Silva. Don't forget to add "If we want him I think we'll get him".
Mind you, it might backfire - what if he's actually successful there?

Translation: "I was wrong, Carrick is not going to be caretaker boss but is just taking today and tomorrow's training session. I'm trying to save face so I'll make up that they are making him caretaker boss for 48 hours".

Compete vs Arsenal for 5th/6th spot and be hated by the Arsenal fans ? Not a chance he would do that. I believe he had been quoted as saying he wouldn't manage in the uk ??

This was being reported by SkySports news and I was relaying it immediately to those who may not be able to get all the latest in this quickly breaking news story. There's always a smart arse that tries to make it about something else. I did not make anything up, they said it on SkySports news. Not that I expect an apology from you for this false accusation. I only ever post in good faith, but obviously naively when it comes to readers like you, who only sees the sinister side of things

People like you have a serious attitude problem by unfairly calling people out.....and you're supposed to be an administrator FFS.

You should be encouraging people to post views, not ridiculing and making up lies about them so they won't bother in future. Shame on you.

It would be fantastic if Howe did get it.

I dislike Muff as much as the next person but he clearly has talent & produces a pleasing style of play.

Unfortunately, putting a muzzle on Harry Arter doesn't necessarily qualify you to manage the Big Time Charlies at Man U.
