Someone started a thread earlier for the need for a strikers coach. Has anyone else on here noticed the growing trend of motivation & life coaching in our society. Was on the train the other day & noticed an ad to become a qualified life coach for £99 via an on line course. You could potentially be dealing with anyone, ex cons & loons etc that could show vulnerable people some worthless internet certificate in order to get their money or possibly much worse. Is it all totally harmless or should an industry like that be properly regulated with DBS checks etc?
If you'd like my input its £45 per hour. Turn your negativity in productivity and get results with the hornpete 10 week plan. Never getting a pay rise? Not suceeding in love? Got no friends to mull over life with? DM me now for alnost instant results.
All of this for £42 an hour in my 9 week plan. Plus free cuddly stuffed honey badger just in time for Crimbo. Cheaper and I can even spell "almost".
I've often thought of becoming a life coach and this seems like as sure a sign as any that I should. thank you!
It's essentially asking someone off the street to help you. There is no real qualification to do life coaching, and I doubt that you'd even need to do the online course. Plenty of actresses, for instance, do it in their spare time. It's one person with a very particular view on life trying to get you to follow that view. They've probably read some pop-psychology, but no more than the average person. Sometimes having someone to set goals with and reflect upon your successes/ failures can be helpful. Friends/ partners will be better, and far cheaper, though. And life coaches should never be used if you have any real problems. There's a reason why psychologists take the best part of a decade - to get onto training, do a doctorate and gain hands-on supervised experience - before they are ready to really help people.
My wife sees a life/career coach as part of her exec position. I think he just wants to sleep with her. He probably is.....
It used to be the place of religion to control people, now it seems to be life coaches. Charlatans all of them
