In these days of gender free pc (ness) and equality, shouldn't there just be one one race between everyone, men and women, and anything in between?

The Oregon Project and Salazar's history, combined with the fact that Farah was absolutely nowhere near elite level until his late 20s, have me slightly wary.

It's a bit like Froome, who never looked like a Grand Tour winner before 2012, le alone a 4 time TdF GC winner. Normally you can see that someone has the tools to be an all-time great in their sport from early on. I suppose you can either come down on it saying something illicit happened, or that Sky and Nike Oregon just have the tech and know how to raise athletes to that level.

But that is just not true.

Mo was 23 when he got a European Silver medal in 2006 at 5000m and Mo was only 24 when he came 6th in the 5,000m 2007 World Championship, only 1.67 seconds behind the gold medal winner Lagat. That is certainly at the "elite level" at a relatively early age for a distance runner.

Mo's times has never been closer than about half a minute to the world record for the 5000m. He is just a great tactical race winner.

Suspicions, particularly when based on incorrect information, is just plain unfair.
