Seeing as we're unlikely to have a Goal of the Season award this year, I've gone for the next best thing.

    Here are my nominations:-

Gray against Sheff Utd at home.
Hughes against West Ham at home
    Gray against Palace at home
    Sarr against Liverpool away
    Doucoure against Liverpool away
    Gray against Brighton at home

I'm sure there are plenty of others.

I suppose with the first Gray could claim he was offside.

Doucouré and Sarr didn't even hit the ball which was pretty appalling!

Surely Dawson against Sheffield, right at the end, must be there?

I don't consider that to be a bad miss. It was more of a good save. I don't think Dawson could have done too much better with that and certainly is not as bad as any in my list, IMO.

Doucoure fluffing that last minute chance to win the Arsenal match?

  6. Chumlax

He had a completely free header four yards from goal that would have won us the game and put it in a position the goalie could make a relatively routine save from!

He forced the keeper into a save, which is more than the others.

Welbeck against Sheffield United. Tame effort straight at the keeper when he could've squared it to an unmarked Gray for a tap in - cue witty response "Gray probably would've missed it anyway, haha".

Miss of the season is clearly Hughes Vs West Ham though. Season could've panned out very differently if he'd equalised when we were well on top.

I thought that was a super human run from him to get there. I put no blame on Doucoure for not scoring that one.

This one. In terms of season defining moments, this was it. To come back from 2-0 down to beat Arsenal 3-2 would have completely and utterly changed our season.

A hopeless miss from a now hopeless player. A true shame what he's become.

Notice how Troy hasn't even got a nomination - surest sign yet why he's our talisman and clear PotS so far.

If you don't shoot you can't be nominated. We're still waiting for his first shot of the season.

Hughes v West Ham for sure. But I thought that would put us 2-0 up?

Re Deeney, he had had shots and he has been injured and is still coming back from that so we should be fair and give him leeway.

It's got to be Sarr yesterday. It looked easier than Doucoure's chance. It was a total mis hit. Howevet, he has been one of the better players who is trying to turn things around.

Also, there is no telling if Allison could of saved it. I would say also if Deeney was half a second quicker yesterday, he could of scored that great cross from Sarr before Salah scored

    No. Hughes.

Sarr's was bad - but there was still a keeper and at least 2 defenders on the line. It could have been stopped.

Hughes just hit to hit the target from no distance to score.

I reckon Hughes as well seeing as you would have thought “any contact and it’s in” except somehow it wasn’t.

But shoutout to Gray for making up half the list despite mostly being a bench player this season.

Ok it was not a bad miss but yet another nearly moment for us. We really have thrown away so many points this season through poor finishing and terrible VAR decisions.

Looking again the Hughes one might be the worst. Seven points worth just there.

Was offside anyway. Which was also a c.ck-up on his part.

That's 9 amazing misses, which a Sunday league player could score with a blindfold on. We've scored only 9 goals all season, so this could have been doubled our tally without hesitation.

I know a guy, who scores loads of goals for the Dog & Duck. He's 7 stone overweight but can finish. I hope Giraldi knows all about him.

Yeah. And the ball was slightly behind him (potentially partially his fault too) to be fair.
