A couple of thoughts: - wonder how many people have been affected given we've had to play multiple games missing players - could work in our favour by having extra rest for Swansea then a cup game no-one cares about - Will give Chico or whatever his name is a chance to work with the squad. Will mean only one League game between Boxing Day and 16th Jan - if we get awarded a 3-0 win, I bet Deeney claims all the goals
Considering they wanted this game removed from sky in protest, this seems like a lucky coincidence for them...!
Best Xmas present I've had so far. I've got 90mins of pure misery and boredom removed from my schedule. I'll be able to do something more productive and interesting, like clean out my belly button fluff.
If we put both our squad an Bournemouth's together we might have a chance of beating them. of note "Bournemouth's" comes up as "Blabbermouths" on my spell check. That amused me.
Yeah it seems like there isn’t much clarity on the rules. Rotherham also had their game called off v Derby last week but it seemed like they only had one player test positive. We’ve played four or five matches with two or three players having tested positive. I recognise that there are nuances and safety first has to be the way to go, but there are some tournament integrity issues if teams can just choose when they want to choose not fulfil a fixture and when they go ahead anyway.
It's possible that the marker is the difference between 'positive COVID test' and 'having to self-isolate because of potential exposure' - one is potentially open to abuse for sporting reasons, theoretically, whereas the other is pretty cast-iron and unimpeachable.
Does it make sense to fulfil our fixtures if we possibly can, even if we don’t have to (I don’t know the actual rules/cut off) if loads of teams have fixture pile ups at the ends of the season it can only help us?
It's too toxic on there. I won't post any comments in it but I will watch it all game in case someone mentions me so I can later say on the forum that people are obsessed with me. Nothing strange about that at all.
Don’t think so as the article also stated no January Watford games had been picked by Sky for TV broadcast.
I thought it was, but all those desiccated no-goalfests have merged into one. I’ve been thinking about therapy to help me shake off the recurring nightmares.
TBF it was probably on the red button. I agree - surely with this new manager the away games can only get better...
