Not my money so I don't really care how much we buy him for and how much he's paid, but like you said, he did say he didn't want to be here so perhaps it would be better to get someone in who does.

I know this sounds a tad dumb, but what is (Confirmed)? What are the details? Loan, purchase, not happening?

    Thanks in advance

When he subbed himself off during the last game he really showed that he didn't want to be here (and then confirmed that by saying so a few days later).

Maybe the £5m offer (if true) is Gino's way of saying not interested without actually saying so? The tragedy is there's a decent player in there somewhere.

It was confirmed that it wasn't happening by Niang saying he wouldn't come here. It's a little more open now.

Gino will sign him for Papa Pozzo. Straight loan to Udinese.

I said this earlier. I think it wouldn't be a bad move. Let him go back to Italy. Have a storming season and then sell him for profit.

  8. Burnsy

Niamh thinks he's FAR better than Udinese. No chance. If he won't play for us, he definitely won't play for them.

I prefer Niamh. Makes him sound like the little bitch that he is.

Sports witness reporting that Niamh's agent says we had still interested in signing him.

Think we have a £5m bid tabled from a few months ago, similar to other bids we put in that are still on the table if the clubs choose to change their mind and sell.

We only buy players for £5 mill. Not more , not less.

Was done just because scunts up the road had no more sell on fees and we wanted to flex our guns at them

Seem to remember his work rate wasnt great. Would be surprised if fitted in Silvas system.

I sort of liked Niang. When he was good, he was very, very good.

But now we have Richarlison who has similar abilities, but vitally, has way more desire and battling qualities than me boy M'baye.

I think he would suit Silva's system much more than Walt's. I'd take him for a few million, as he'd really have his tail between his legs and would have to ditch some of that ego.

I would welcome him back simply because he was quality when he decided to play. And I actually think he would thrive under Marco Silvas tactics.

-Not slow, but certainly not electric.

-Doesn't track back to help his FB and doesn't press very much.

-Doesn't tend to beat his man ( tends to cut in and shoot ).

From what we ve seen from Richarlison and Carrillo , it seems clear that this is the type of player that Silva likes. Besides I don't think Niangs attitude is great, as much as a fan can tell from the outside.

Take him back? Maybe. Welcome him back?! No chance. He’s a good player when he can be bothered but I have very little time for any player who so blatantly gives up on the pitch as he did last season. And I’m not buying the whole ‘I’d give up playing for Mazzarri’ line on this one because he specifically said Walter was the reason he came at all.

If he was free or on a nominal fee, so much so that he came firmly with a point to prove and his attitude totally reined in, I’d have him. But I extremely doubt a player of his undoubted ego would come here without insisting on playing and would like to be treated as something he’s not (yet). He nailed his colours to the mast with his issued statement at the end of last season as far as I’m concerned and we are strong enough in his position(s).

Maybe the wrong choice of words but I would definitely take him back because he won us points last season and has the quality to do so again.

    That’s fair enough.

However I would point again to a larger incorrect selection of words that are all the words that Niang put in his statement last season that were a not very subtle way of saying he believes he’s far too good to lower himself to playing for us again.

Talent is undoubted but he is hugely emblematic of all the attitude problems at the club that they seem to have worked hard to eradicate in pre-season. Sometimes talent alone is not enough.

Stressful leaving Watford. Vydra never recovered. Abdi, Ekstrand, etc etc...

Only Forestieri survived the stress but only down to the fact he's as mad as a box of frogs

M'Baye Niang's short spell at Watford was, in fact, a loan deal. Therefore I find it highly unlikely that there would be any kind of sell-on fee involved.
