I like the pure banter of this deal, and it could be a useful one for the future, though I am still a bit bemused by the fact that we're going for midfielders and not defenders lol

 

I think Dixon was still on Luton's pay roll when he appeared in out first eleven, because he hopeless to put it politely!

Better than Gosling. Would settle for that, we do need more depth.

 

One of this players that I'd heard of but no idea what kind of player he is. Looks energetic, a good passer and most important of all, he scored a direct free kick once. Get him in.

 

**** knows if it's happening, but I do get the feeling it's a more exciting deal than Gosling. At least he's someone we've been in for before and not exactly a panic deal. Would he get into our best XI? **** knows...

 

Is he better than Gosling? Rarely ever kicks a ball for Newcastle and has very inexperienced.

And I don’t want Gosling. We need to be looking at better than these names.

 

I wouldn't be against this. Has looked okay for Newcastle & he's only young. Should do a job in the Championship.

No, it wasn't a formal thing. We just retired the art of scoring free kicks when Lord Almen of Abdi left, similar to how other clubs retire shirt numbers.

 

A poor mans Sililki, but I've liked what I've seen of him and think he would add a bit of composure and dynamism to our midfield.

In the highlight video above he seems to be sitting quite deep, but I have seen him play well in a more advanced midfield role.

A loan with an option to buy would be nice bit of business.

The chief reporter for NUFC their local paper (The Chronicle) now saying we are after the other Longstaff brother but he wants to stay.

NUFC would let him go if they sign Choudhury - but he also says we have enquired directly about Choudhury ourselves on loan should we sell Chalobah to Leicester, cutting Newcastle out.

 

Chaudhury is a more experienced Dan Phillips. Likes a card.

 

Just give us one of the Longstaffs. Which one? Doesn't matter.

 

If we can't get Sean or Matty, maybe we could get his sister Sarah. I'm sure if we try hard enough we could get someone from the Longstaff family to join.

 

Their dad was a decent Ice Hockey player. Long shot, but he might be worth a punt.

 

Both of the Longstaff brothers will look horrific in our kit so I don't care which one we get.
