Been linked to Tavernier from Middlesbrough.

He's clearly got potential. However, it's a bit concerning that he's not even a regular starter for Boro yet. So long as if we bought him it would be for no more than a fairly inexpensive upgrade in taking up Sema's bench/cup role.

 

I'm sure he's a good young player, but he'd probably end up being one of our more expensive summer signings wouldn't he? Bit of a risk for what would be a punt, right? I thought we were ok for homegrown players anyway

 

Surely with a name like that he should be a defender.

As such it's a no from me.
