I think when Silva comes to the Vic it would be good if we all hissed liked a snake at him. It would be a unique and fitting response.

 

It would make a more fitting tribute if we all left in the 9th minute and then came back at the end of the game and got in the away end dressed as cobra’s.

And then, after we win we can all crack ourselves open and toast three points together.

 

Everton fan on TalkSport just now saying he expects EFC to try and buy Rashford and he should ‘get himself to Goodison’.

And so it begins. A summer of them linking themselves to Ronaldo, Kroos and Ramos. And they end up with Joe Allen, Shawcross and Charlie Adam. And almost certainly Islam Slimani.

 

To be fair, I’d have Keane and Lookman here instantly. I’m sure TB9 will say different but Sandro, Klaassen and Schneiderlin didn’t become bad overnight either and could be decent in the correct environment. I wouldn’t be upset if we signed any of the above. EFC fans hate Cleverley and he’s been great for us.

 

Even more so seeing as 3 of them class as homegrown - Schneiderlin been here since he was 18.

 

Keane has been horrific. Think we didn't scout him properly and he looked great at Burnley because they play a deep line and their full backs are never pushed too far up, so he was never exposed down the channels or had to turn with a ball in behind him. At a team who plays more expansively (even us), he's been horribly exposed. I don't think we'll sell him, but I'd be very surprised if he came good now.
Lookman is a tremendous prospect and I would be devastated to lose him this early
Sandro - had a great season for Malaga in 16/17, but for ourselves and Sevilla this season, he's barely looked like a footballer. He's earning ridiculous money, so don't think there's any chance we'll be keeping hold of him
Klaassen - There is a player in there somewhere. His movement, general intelligence and one touch play is brilliant. The issue with him is that he has the physique of a 10 year old boy and the speed of a milk float. He'll be a good player somewhere, but not convinced it'll be in England where the game just seems too quick and physical for him. I'd love to be wrong
Schneiderlin - Looked magnificent when we first got him. Unfortunately his character is what you would call into question. Refused to train at one point. Sat in the stands laughing while we were getting hammered in a European game, whilst shrugging his shoulders at fans who remonstrated with him. There's a couple of clips of him knocking about putting in some of the most shameful "effort" you'll ever see. I detest this guy and cannot wait to see the back of him. Poison.

 

As I say, you are closer to it that we have been so I do believe that’s the truth. It’s more that they have all been good players in the not to distant past so in the correct surroundings, I’m sure they’d come good again. As we know, I think it’s extremely unlikely we will be doing business with one another anyway for a while.

 

Toffee, think you need an avatar if you are intending to stay a while.

Well that's not very nice.

 

Love it...it's what my teenage kids say when you ask them (politely) to pick something up they have thrown on the floor. Very in the moment. They even leave the gap between the two words, mouthed in a monotone drawl.

 

And I know you've noticed all the yellows behind you watching you hold the cup instead of just effing of. Of course you have, nice boy like you can't have failed not to.

Liverpool Echo reporting no transfer tension for Sliva. Says he's gonna be working with Everton's DoF, and Moshiri's a really great guy. He used to say a lot of things in the press to put pressure on Gino, but all it did in the end was demonstrate his divisiveness.

Probably too early to take a negative from this, but it does bring back some Sliva lined memories. Did feel in the end that if he said something, he frequently meant the opposite.

 

Any ideas what's going on? It all seems to have died down a little.

 

I really do suspect that we’ll never know.

Pozzo court case is like Pozzo transfer.

Nothing happening so convincingly so that just when you think nithing is happening for real this time, a done deal appears out of no where, and Gino's played a blinder again. Or not.

Best sign that Gino is up to something is the total absence of any sign that he is doing something.

Best sign that he's not are reports that Gracia's in for a player that West Ham and Brighton are also interested in.

 

Are Everton ever going to sign anyone? I'd imagine old Silva is getting very restless
