More evidence that we seem to be going for a younger and pacier squad next season, which can’t be bad. That’s three signings now all 24 or under. Plus the likely signing of another under 25 in Masina and the persistent rumours about Rico. The inference of this signing plus GD and possibly Rico also suggests Gracia is having a very big input into our recruiting. That’s great if he’s here for the longish term but is it wise if he proves a failure and is out by Christmas?
If the Pozzos hadn't already got a good foothold in Spain because of their previous long term Granada links I could sort of see that inference being a sensible leap. But I think it's probably over-simplistic to assume signing a player from Spain = big input from Gracia. I imagine he's being given a day though.
I'd say it's more likely he was picked up by the scouts rather than Gracia's suggestion. Can't imagine he knew too much about him
Christ, that video was a hard watch. The first 3.45 seemed to consist mainly of him passing the ball backwards under no real pressure or crossing the ball nowhere near his team mates. Then, a really good goal followed by more crossing to no-one.
Ironically it’s a former WFC Head Coach rather than our current one who will have known much more about him.
Can apparently play on the wing, full back and centre half. Not a bad option to have in the squad, and another giant for when the balls in the mixer
No wonder he agreed to join. Young fella so maybe no wife and kids to kidnap, imaginative new approach though and effective it would seem.
