I already posted a response to you just in the previous page pointing out that Trezeguet is a left winger and Sarr is a right winger.

Did you somehow skip reading it, or are people on here generally just not very good at understanding that the two aren't readily interchangeable?!

Very true but according to many on here we are due to lose Pereyra not Del Boy. Therefore by that logic the greater need is on the left. Unless the Pozzos are resigned to losing the latter this window and that is why the focus is on Sarr. The other factor is that strikers have to be more versatile nowadays, play either side, centrally and just in behind. Sometimes they are even known to track back. Lots of speculation which should be resolved over the next four weeks.

 

Even though Sarr could probably also do the Delboy role, we have generally been linked with a number of typical right wingers this summer, which suggests that we're not necessarily looking to replace him. I suspect that it's more the case that when we first signed Delboy it was with the expectation that he would be our right winger, but because he's done so well as a forward we rather had to do with the square peg in a round hole of Hughes there instead for a season - a situation which the club is now looking to rectify.

 

Fair points and entirely possible. The lack of action or even rumours makes it hard to predict at the moment.
