Not really I can't swim! I'm a bit more surrounding villages but couldn't pass up the opportunity to be indignant.

Aylesbury is fine, just make sure you are on your way before it gets dark!

Been to loads, aged 12 down by the old car park where Elton would park, mick and Eddie were always on the gate, Eddie had a motor bike, no one ever messed with him, remember a couple of Luton lads coming up occupation road giving it the bigun, 2 Watford lads coming down got into a 2 on 2,mick and Eddie were saying come on lads, in the end Eddie whacked them all with his crash helmet..
Been up there a few times, always getting beat 1 nil, boxing day one was the worst, they came on the pitch hurling the kitchen sink, it was funny like some one else said, you could see the rocks coming, and the just got thrown back, never been to a night game there,
Went with a mate 1 season, spur of the moment thing, we went into their ticket office, Upper or lower enclosure, we said Upper, glad it wasn't the lower, think it was when some one did Preece(Ashby) maybe, fuzzy got sent off!
It is what it is, rivalry, its the atmosphere, just because it's not spurs arsenal, west ham millwall, never underestimate the passion involved, its a good day out at either ground if you have your wits about you.!!

As an Aylesbury Utd fan and semi regular attendee I can confirm there is a dislike of Wycombe but the gap between the clubs is so vast these days it's not really a thing anymore. These days it's limited to traditional rivals Chesham and more recently another semi pro club in Aylesbury who change name every few seasons and are a bit tinpot.

    Good Post mate.
IT is up there for me, you mention the big boys, but it's easy to be a part of their numbers and give it large.

I miss the days of Aylesbury Utd ground sharing with Leighton Town. There were some decent characters following the ducks and the games were better to watch than Leighton Town.

Didn't Wycombe fans try to start a rivalry with us in 1997/98?

Ollie Phillip's Centenary book refers to a 3-0 win at Dunstable Road in 1885; ' Was this the occasion for there certainly was such an instance which was reflected upon several times down the years, when the Rovers were chased and stoned by aggrieved L**** supporters until they reached the shelter of the station?'

M1 Derby: First one I attended was Dec 1970, remember going to the Wimpy Bar in Watford high street with my dad before the game, and living in Ickenham it was the first time I had ever seen a Luton supporter, as walking up to the ground there were several of them queuing up outside the the Vicarage Road end, as for the game well you can guess they won 1-0 future manager Mike Keen scoring with a header at the rookery end.

First visit to Kenilworth Road was Apr 1980, I remember going by WFC supporters coaches, as we turned off the motorway a police escort was waiting in a lay by for us, whilst the police popped their heads inside our coaches to check us out and talk to the driver, a convoy of WFC fans (Mini buses,Vans and Cars) sped past s us and the police, blasting their horns and waving baseball & cricket bats out of the vehicles.
A little later on as we in the coaches were a half mile from the ground, we all spotted a large number of Watford lads walking / jogging up the road, possibly the same lads as in the convoy earlier, as we passed them a few of the lads on my coach all agreed this group outside were 'Watford Bogside' the name meant nothing to me at the time.
As for the game, well yes Luton won 1-0, and as the years progressed this was to become all to familiar score line.

It's probably the ground we miss sharing at the most. Decent fans and enough selection of pubs in town. I believe the facilities were a big reason for leaving, it all needed improving and the pitch was awful. The clubhouse and changing rooms have improved since though.

They’ve been improving the clubhouse over the summer as it was falling apart. The pitch is woeful but so much football gets played on it. Youth games, reserve games and even a Sunday league team play on it. I’ve played on it a couple of times and it’s worse than the adjoining park.

Can’t remember how we got tickets for that one but we sat in the maple with quite a few of us and when we scored you realised there was lots more of us dotted around. The reason I missed the 0-4 one was that I won a holiday from the club as it was owned by Simpson of Simply Travel and was in Crete. I phoned my dad to find out the score at half time and thought he was joking!

One of the best things about that game, other than the result of course, was that the meatheads invaded the pitch on several occasions, probably in an attempt to get the match abandoned, but they kept doing it one's and two's instead of a mass invasion, which might just have got them what they wanted Duuuuh!!!
