I watched the movie The Island last night and didn't enjoy it as much as I remembered doing.

Definitely a good signing for a club like Everton. They get who they want you know.

I'm not quite sure what that news story is about looking at that link.
There's nothing like a bit of quality editing.

Shaw is a talented young player who needs time and a supportive manager, away from spotlights of United.

I'd love him here, but he will probably go to a better club than ours and United will ask more for him than we would be willing to pay.

Would definitely help our quest to have the fattest squad in Premier League next season.

I can’t believe how portly he is.

Saw him for the first time in ages when he was subbed on recently & he looked like the proverbial dad who’d won top prize in the raffle.

Could balance a tray on his @rse.

Liked for the use of 'portly'!
Tray balancing might provide an alternative career for Luke? No mean feat you'd say?

Tray balancing could prove the ideal icebreaker in an edgy pre season dressing room.

Mourinho’s treatment of him has been savage. But there’s been rumours about his work-rate etc for years...even when he was at Southampton according to Le-Tissier.

If the above is true, then is unlikely he’d be motivated enough to end those troubles at us. If we could afford it, and there was a good chance he’d get back to near his best, then obviously we’d all take him. But the risk of him coming, getting paid loads and having the same issues is too great really.

He’ll go to Spurs as a swap for Rose. And if he does manage to go to a lesser team, I’d say Bournemouth.

Nowhere near good enough for the current Spurs squad and doesn't have the work rate they demand.

The Muffins are probably the ideal destination, particularly as wages won't be a problem. West Ham could be another option.

Not good enough right now, but with a good pre-season under a manager he knows and probably really likes would most likely solve that. All the pieces are in play for him to end up there.

To be honest I think I'd prefer his brother Ric. I'm told he can carry a couple of players if they're not performing.

I see he is out of contract but has the possibility of a years extension if he wishes to take it up. 23 and only played 43 times in 3 seasons. Boy do we need a left back.

Ironically for Shaw we are the type of club and have the right manager to help rebuild his career. But I agree that his wages would be a big issue for us so unlikely.

On the plus side, he can play left back & right back simultaneously.

On 27 June 2014, Shaw signed a four-year contract (with an option to extend for a further year) with Manchester United for an undisclosed fee thought to be in the region of £30 million, becoming the most expensive teenager in world football.[22][23] Chelsea were also interested in Shaw, but they backed away from a deal fearing the teenager's excessive pay demands would cause friction in their dressing room.

United have taken up his one year option. What do we do when we want to sell a player?

And we haven’t sold anyone who has just signed a new contract as far as I can see?!
