Huachipato celebrate ending the 9-game unbeaten run of Primera Division leaders Católica by trying to replicate the cover of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Long term WFC loanee Valber Huerta is sitting closest to the camera at the very front with Peter Andre (white cap) directly behind him & a youthful Alan Partridge (clenching a fist) over Huerta's right shoulder. I think that's a member of Inspiral Carpets on the right in the brown parka, Gareth Southgate crouching at the front right and to his left is comedian Russell Kane (#8 on his shorts). Lee Mack, Hayley from Coronation Street, Seasick Steve and the bloke who used to hang around my primary school gates in the 1970s also appear and is that Vydra in the background? Had the camera user been videoing this momentous occasion, they would have filmed the whole ensemble sing umpteen verses of Lovely Rita before jumping into the communal bath for warmth. Happy days in Huachipato, not so in Hertfordshire.
Randell Williams seems to be the most successful loan player so far! Probably end up moving to Wycombe on a permanent deal.
I am trying to work out if the bloke wearing number 8 is crouching, a midget, or its "let a fan play for the team day"!
The player for Huachipato, Valber Huerta, is doing well too. Consistently plays (22 of 25 league games) and has completed 90 minutes each time. Directly involved in 4 goals (out of 36) for his side while being part of a defence who have conceded only 24. Sadly, like Williams, I doubt he'll play for Watford. Due to never yet playing for Chile he'll never get a work permit and at 25y/o he can't be considered an outstanding talent (or whatever the phrase is) to by-pass work permit regulations.
Randell Williams an assist & swivel hips on Saturday 5th October, Wycombe Wanderers vs. Burton Albion. A decent bit of wing play and an excellent cross lead to Williams being eaten as part of Adebayo Akinfenwah's goal celebration on Saturday. The WFC loanee first appears just after 42seconds. 1m 7secs in to the video and it's the 2nd-half already! Burton break and ex-'Orn, Marvellous Marvin Sordell rounds the 'keeper to equalise for Burton. Wycombe gaffer tape seller Gareth Ainsworth instructed Akinfenwah to 'sick-up' the on loan winger at half-time and this was inspired thinking. At 1m 27secs Williams swivel-hipped his way down the left wing to deliver yet another sublime cross, only to find the Wanderers forwards wanting and unable to score. Other stuff happens thereafter but nothing to affect the score or primary senses of the viewer.
Matheus Aias Barrozo Rodrigues In a knock-off Watford away kit from Wembley Market, Barrozo scores a brace for Mirandes away to Calahorra on Sunday 7th October. The first is a decent strike from the edge of the area, the second shows good perseverance in injury time to score a dramatic late winner. Vamos Barrozo! The link is to a Spanish site which sulks & refuses to play if you have any kind of ad-blocking software on the go. https://www.larioja.com/deportes/fu...ahorramirandes-castigo-20181007225418-nt.html
Luis Javier Suarez Charris He's barely had time to apply his Old Spice talcum powder and his goal is already the talk of the internet! Earlier today, Sunday 7th October, Cadiz and Gimnastic de Tarragona played out a draw already going down in the annuls of history as a 1-1 stalemate. 21secs into the video, the move of the game begins. It may look lethargic and somewhat hopeful but this kind of stuff simply cannot be coached, and if you are coaching this kind of move then you deserve to be sacked with immediate effect. What doesn't show up on the video tape is how Suarez's shot moves more than the mystery bullet from JFK's assassination. Yes, it does look like a toe-poke from 7 yards but secret footage shows the ball taking a path that is unexplainable. Best not to ask questions and just enjoy the pretty yellow scattered throughout the home stadium. La Liga don't want you watching on the forum so click the You Tube link where the video should be and you'll be taken somewhere gentle and soft to view the goals.
Daniel Bachmann Being second or third choice 'keeper anywhere is a tough gig, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. In this exclusive & experimental footage we see exactly what the on loan Austrian is thinking as he sits on the bench again while his Kilmarnock team mates rack up yet another 3 points on their way to third in the table.
From what I have seen of him he is too good for Wycombe but too lightweight for us. I think he will become a steady Championship player however.
Cheers RookeryDad. I'll stop tinkering with it now (unless I get bored!) as real life starts again tomorrow. Hopefully anyone interested in the loan set up will get something from it.
Alex Jakubiak In last night's Checkatrade Trophy game versus Yeovil, Jakubiak scored and looked lively while former Hornet Jack Bonham made some decent saves for the Pirates in their 2-0 win. The first video is of both goal & general highlights while the second is of the goals only and from an earthworm's point of view. It also appears Bristol Rovers use one of those cars with ridiculously out-sized wheels and a jacked-up body(?) to shine its headlights for illumination at night games. Jakubiak, wearing number 17, appears from; 12secs looking handsome as a shot from out wide flashes past him. 21secs looking sharp as he receives the ball between two defenders in the right side of the area, 8 yards out, and forces a good save from the 'keeper. 42secs looking to link up play after dropping off his marker, receiving the ball & turning in one movement. He then drops a shoulder to create space for a pass out wide. 1m 6secs looking goal bound as he moves off his marker in the area before a beautifully timed clipped finish from 12 yards gave the 'keeper no chance high inside his near post. 1m 26secs looking dangerous as he hangs back before making a run diagonally in the area. The defender either blocks his shot or clears for the corner from the low cross. 1m 39secs looking a bit lost out wide as the ball carrier waves to say hello. He doesn't really do anything as the player with the ball cuts back inside to score from a deflected shot.
