Our thoughts are with you and your club mate. This transcends any football rivalries.

I’m so so sorry. Just doesn’t feel real. Thoughts and wishes again to all involved. PL must do sonething as s mark of respect to this... I second prosponing next weeks games also. Black arm bands all teams when football resumes.

Must be the longest I’ve spent on here without a mention of that Deeney goal directed at me.

Without a second thought for anyone reading that who might be personally involved.
Ive noticed some people seem to get a kick about giving out news whenever tragedy strikes.. others seem to have a morbid fascination about it.

PS The latest news from Sky is that Jon Rudkin was not involved.

Yes I’d just seen that, thank goodness. It would seem it was just Vichai and friends on board. Going to be a late night waiting for news. It landed in the staff car park and obviously made big mess.

Karen Brady has tweeted that no one from West Ham was on board.

It's hard to know what to say about this. Absolutely horrid news you would never want to hear anywhere.

I know I'm just a made up name on the internet but hope you're dealing with this as best you can Filbert.

Horrible news and the pictures/video clips I’ve seen are very unnerving. Really hoping there are no fatalities but also difficult to see how there aren’t, especially with the fireball once the helicopter hit the ground.

Filbert, my thoughts are with you and everyone else at LCFC. Nobody should go to football not come home.

Hoping for some positive news tomorrow, however unlikely.

A reporter on BBC News 24 has said there’s speculation that Claude Puel may also have been on board. She seemed a bit unsure of her words but it’s now on social media and she definitely said it. Seems strange for the BBC to deal in speculation without some sort of reason for thinking it might be right.

Let’s hope she’s just not really in tune with the game and just mis-spoke.

Sadly, I think we would have heard by now had the owner survived or not been on board. Tragic.

Only just seen this news, thoughts with everyone connected to those affected. Thought it was all just a normal football night. Terribly sad for Leicester

Still seems to be mixed reports this morning and speculation about who was on board. There are also reports that a police officer tried to smash a window open to help those inside, all unconfirmed yet.

I'm sure having crashed into the staff car park the club have to do checks on everyone, ticket office staff, ground staff, stewards, commercial, hospitality staff etc, before they can make any statements.

There is going to be a list of casualties, but lets hope that it is the very minimum. Very sad news

Incredibly sad news. Living in Leicester, all my friends and family are Leicester fans. I know many who attended yesterday’s game. A couple of people I spoke to last night were speculating the BT drone collided with the helicopter

Awful for Leicester, as by all accounts the owner is/was really good to them on many levels. But I think talk earlier in the thread of postposting a whole round of fixtures next week is over the top.

I think I just said that out of a belief that I really can’t see Leicester being ready to play for a couple of weeks so the league may take the chance to allow it, rather than have them play catch-up later in the season. I admit it’s unlikely.

All Italian Série A fixtures were postponed when Davide Astori passed away so it’s certainly not unheard of.

I know I’ve said it already but the more I think of it, the more ludicrous I think it is. A helicopter literally has no place being anywhere near a football ground and certainly not on match day.

I always admired Gary Lineker during his football career, however I have felt he always held a grudge because of our connection to Graham Taylor (who effectively ended his England career) against us!

However on match of the day I thought he held himself together extremely well to announce both the sudden illness of his friend Glen Hoddle and the helicopter crash at Leicesters City ground both extremely close to his heart, together with actually praising us and saying what a good team we have!

Gary you have gone back up in my estimations!

I'm sure their League Cup game on Tuesday will be postponed - though mainly because it's at home and I suspect part of the stadium site will still be a crime/air accident investigation scene. Logistically very difficult. They're away in the league at the weekend though and I'd have thought they should be able to play. I expect if they ask for a week off the league will be sympathetic though.

A full postponement would be a bit silly I think, I can’t see us playing for a few rounds because the players will be so affected. They adored the bloke by all accounts, he was a very, very good boss and there’s never been a bad word about him from anyone in 6 or 7 years at the club. Quite different to a lot of owners with the atmosphere he fostered, he was positive and friendly and gave a lot to the fans without making it about himself. The quirks of the Buddhist priests blessing the pitch and his giving away free beer and cake on dozens of occasions to the people always came across as him genuinely reaching out and sharing his culture and wealth with the city.

He promised European football at our stadium and went even further. I’ll always remember watching him and his son pass the trophy between them on the pitch on that wonderful day, the thing was about the same size as the pair of them. Strange how you don’t realise how much someone you don’t know means to you until you hear they’re dead. Similar feelings to when I heard Bowie had died.

Sky are reporting Vichai, his daughter, two pilots and an unnamed fifth person were on board.

No news if anyone on the ground was affected.

Would the drone still be airborne an hour after the match had ended?

As I have said before people are desperate for some bizarre reason for fame. Perhaps because of the decadent celebrity obsessed culture we live in. Anything will do just to get noticed. A big blow for Leicester City football club and it's fans. All the very best especially to you Filbert, honourary Hornet.

I personally have never set foot in a helicopter such as at Niagara Falls given their mechanical complexity and the number of things that could go wrong.

I am sure with their number of take off and landing etc, that helicopters world wide are very safe, however when one crashes as per yesterday with such a high profile person right outside the front doors of the reason he is so well known in the world of football the tragedy is rightly given huge amount of media coverage!

It does make you think, what with the Chelsea owners crash but that was 20 years ago, however maybe thought should be given to whether helicopters should be landing at sites where there are huge numbers of people in the vicinity at the same time!

A lot of speculation that it hit a drone. Possibly belonging to BT or the police. Just a rumour but the helicopter had already made it from down London way without an issue....

Strange rumours going round about Gareth Southgate, apparently he was at the game and arrived on the chopper. In the past he has been to Leicester games and arrived and left on the chop
Crazy rumours going round that Gareth Southgate was on the chopper, apparently he has used the chopper to get to and from games at Leicester in the past and he was there yesterday. No idea if him using the chopper in the past is true or not.

Cheese and Onion? God Almighty, are you sick or something?

Don't get me wrong, I'm sorry for the families of those involved, for the football club and the city and you seem like a decent enough fella, so I'm sorry for you and your fellow fans. I have no ill feeling towards Leicester, it's a place I always enjoy going, and doubtless the Premier League will need to cut them some slack in the next few weeks.

But bloody hell...........3 people were killed in a road accident in Wales on Friday night, shall we close all the motorways for a week as a mark of respect?
