I just did. They have Higginbotham, Morrison, Jenas and two token former female players standing in a circle. They mention Troy Deeney, then Jenas says that we are complacent, strong at the back and half the squad want to leave. Everyone laughs. Fin.
Plot twist: We are bottom and they’ve been chucking in the towel week after week. Those players that want to leave (if true), let them.
Yep. I think QSF was only half the problem. They want to play for a better or bigger club? Want to lift Champions League Trophies? Get off your lazy arses and prove you can do the basics and get stuck in when times are bad. If they can't or don't want to, or their general attitude is awful, there are plenty of U23's/U18's who would die to get a spot in the first team, be seen by millions on the biggest stage in football. That's probably more fact than fiction.
Sakho is suspended for our match. He's just been sent off for Palace. Need Zaha to get one now. Van Aanholt off now with a hamstring injury. Cahill injured also.
wonder which of our elite stars would get offers if we go down, Gerry D , Bobby P , Sarr, Doucs , not sure I could see anybody picking up the rest of them
I'm not holding my breath but it would be fantastic if Mullins permanently dropped some of the following spineless underperforming cowards: Doucoure, Holebas, Femenia, Capoue, Gray, Foster. Especially Holebas the lazy, arrogant waste of space. However, no doubt these persistent wasters will play and we'll rub it in by playing the not fit for purpose Chalobah as well.
If you believe Leventhal tonight, basically Giraldi has a far bigger influence then we knew. Even to the point that he suggests that Mullins will have to consult with Giraldi about a formation change. Don't hold your breath.
Foster has picked up and in good form after a dodgy spell. We have no one better than Capoue in central mid. Holebas... who would you swap him for?
It is baffling that a proven incompetent like Giraldi is so bullet proof and has so much influence to pollute progress. He must have Pozzo over a barrell on some matter.
Following on for me it’s about getting these gutless losers out of the team even if it weakens us. Capoue and Doucoure out for Bashiri and Quina. Cleverly if our useless medical team have done their jobs. Gray dispatched. Woeful Success given a final chance. Delefeou and Sarr retained to add pace. We are dead already so at least get the cowards who embarrass the shirt out of the team. I literally cannot stand this team.
If you sign up to Amazon prime free 30 day trial you can watch the Leicester V Watford game live tomorrow, along with any other premier league game tomorrow if it’s that bad.
I’m out with my wife at networking event tonight for her work so I can’t watch anything. But it seems like people like the Amazon coverage and the flexibility it gives. thankfully I’ve found a spot I can avoid people that is close to the free wine and allows me to live the dream and post on the Watford forum
I I don’t agree capoue and doucoure are cowards. The whole team has been rubbish of late. Wouldn’t it be better door a new manager to get them back to where they were rather than replacing them with worse players?
I actually just have done ! but it’s a bit small on a phone. Maybe when it gets to the business end of a game.
Do you have an iPad? Even so it's pretty amazing to watch an entire live game on your phone. How far technology has come.
I do, but not with me. I’m also trying to blend in with lots of creative people so the ipad would make it clear I’m avoiding them. With the iPhone I could be doing important business.
If anyone talks to you just start going over your statistical analysis of Watford's chances of staying up. You'll soon have some alone time.
I strongly believe the players not believing that they are untouchable and call the shots would have immense benefit. It would also give the rest of the squad motivation that they will be picked if established players woefully underperform.
Turn yourself into a living art installation by watching the game whilst calling your performance piece "Life begins on the other side of despair".
Fair point. Although I still wouldn’t do that to Capoue. He has a languid style but that doesn’t mean he is lazy. I think it was the first season with us maybe, and we all lambasted him for being lazy but it turned out he had run further than any other wfc player. I don’t think he should be the sacrificial lamb.
If it was tomorrow night I’m would do this*! But I don’t have the energy for Burnley Man City . * my wife knows I wouldn’t have come tonight if Watford were playing
But you suggested "permanently" dropping six key players (OK maybe five as Gray is a bench player at best) that are integral to our chances of staying up. Maybe you've given up staying up, but hopefully that doesn't mean the Watford coaching staff have done the same!
Subscribed to Prime earlier so I thought I'd give it a trial run tonight. The quality is 10x better on the laptop than on the box for anyone wondering what to watch it on (if you dare watch). I wonder if Mullins can name himself in centre mid for this one. Rather him than Doucs right now.
Ah sorry, missed that you were talking about tonight, thought you were planning for tomorrow. Glad that your wife knows that her career is second fiddle to watching a team of spineless charlatans get relegated with a whimper. (Even if it is only 53% likely if we suddenly pick up the form of a mid table team...)
According to the WO a few of the Under 23s have been training with the first team. "The young Hornets fielded a much changed side against the Toffees, with top-scorer Joseph Hungbo, Bayli Spencer-Adams, Cameron Green, Mason Barrett, Callum Whelan and Adam Parkes unavailable after spending time training with the first team" Probably to cover for injuries I guess!
Exactly what we need really - new blood into the side, doesn't matter if it's against current title contenders either, give them a big boost and a chance to prove to Mullins (or the next manager) they can make the step up.
Or rather that I’m not the person that will make links with lots of creative people, I was mainly there for a drink before and the journey home.
