Was that an age group or were you a Will Hughes style prodigy?

    Are you Will Hughes?

    Purely age-group.

And no. I’m Colin Pluck. But I wish I was Eddie Oshodi.

I'm sure, during the never ending next two weeks, the forum scribes can buff it up.

    Wasn't Fabbrini's page similarly embellished?

Wasn't a decision meant to be made by the EFL today?

What a joke. This whole stadium thing is farcical.

If you can’t fulfil the fixture, then you should be given no room for manoeuvre to still be at ‘home’. Should always have been switched to VR and if they didn’t like it, they should have forfeited. It’s no one’s fault but their own and they should have been treated accordingly.

Think we should at least get 15%. Surely we would have requested that or more? 10% seems a bit low.

Running scared of being beaten twice at the Vic! It seems most spuds fans would have been been OK with switching but they have a very greedy chairman.

I really can’t see Spuds selling very many tickets, looking at one of their forums there is a definite lack of interest and willingness to travel that far on a weekday. Could turn out to be a bit of a disaster for them. Think they may even up the allocation a bit as by rights they can retain 27,000ish.

"The dispensation granted has been done so on the basis that any future rounds in this season’s Carabao Cup competition are played at either Wembley Stadium as their current home venue, the new White Hart Lane, or at a neutral venue. The Club will not be able to reverse any fixtures in 2018/19, should they progress and be drawn at home in future rounds."

So basically, should they progress, it'll be exactly the same situation as this one - a lottery as to which ground they will play at (if drawn at home), due to having no idea when their new stadium will be ready. And the EFL have already nipped in the bud the option of switching the possible tie around.

Well done, EFL. You really put your foot down.......................

Think 10% may be closer to 2,500 after they’ve implemented the segregation.

    White Hart Lane capacity 36k
    New stadium capacity 60k
    Wembley capacity 90k

The minimum number of tickets that should be available to WFC is 10% and even the lowest (fewer) of any of these stadia is 3600.

    We’ve been mugged.

    On our website :-

Watford can confirm that the club’s Carabao Cup third round tie away to Tottenham Hotspur will take place on Wednesday September 26, with an 8pm kick-off.
The fixture will be played at Stadium MK due to the unavailability of Spurs’ new stadium and Wembley, Tottenham’s temporary home.
Ticketing details will be confirmed very soon here at watfordfc.com, with a minimum 10 per cent allocation of Stadium MK’s total capacity guaranteed for travelling Hornets supporters.

It will more than likely be full of glory supporters from outside London, if you can describe a plastic Spurs fan as that.

I know it's "us" and I know it's Spurs and I know I've frequently complained about the devaluing of the cup competitions (and how we should focus on them as a route to Europe) BUT I wouldn't give MK Dons the steam of my p1$$ let alone a single penny.

What I think is funny is that Spurs have said they’ve gone through exhausting efforts to find a ground inside the M25 belt that would be suitable but couldn’t find one....

    I can think of one.

I think the vast majority of Spurs fans probably would have rather it be switched to VR as opposed to have to set foot inside MK Dons stadium but Levy was never going to give up the revenue of a ‘home’ game.

But revenues are shared equally after costs and the EFL's cut, aren't they?

  26. Think so - so Spurs are effectively diverting revenue to franchise FC that would otherwise be split Between WFC and THFC.

    Surprised we allowed it.

Why do you say that? What Spuds are spending on stadium rental is their concern, not Watfords. That'll come out of their share surely?

Simple solution, give Spurs the Vic and we can be the away fans. I'd quite like to be in the away section singing "Watford's a sh*thole, I want to go home", "This is a library" and "Your grounds too big for you" etc, before all squashing into the bit behind the seats at halftime and complaining about it for weeks afterwards.

That Winkleman fella is a terrible businessman. Wouldn’t surprise me one bit if he’s letting Levy use the stadium for free just for the exposure.

At least the Olympic Stadium is full each week and has a bit of history due to London 2012. That MK Dons stadium is a completely wasted luxury - the definition of ‘white elephant’.

Before settling on a dirt cheap option 50m away from both teams. I suspect any club in London wanted a decent chunk to host. Knowing Levy and based on the stage of the competition not justifying expenditure he didn’t even entertain any of them. If they try to charge more than £15 for this I’d piss myself laughing. More than a tenner would be a bit cheeky in the circumstances.
