I agree, though perhaps 1st in the Herts Senior Cup may not cut it

When the match finished it was 2-2. A draw. To decide who goes through, as you can't both go through, there is a penalty shoot out competition to separate the 2 teams, which we lost. The score of the match was 2-2 wasn't it ?

I think we agree on most things over a season. But not this!

In a cup game with no replays, there must be a winner and a loser to see who advances. You can’t draw and go out. We lost. The penalty shoot out was part of the game, not a separate little competition added on.

I wish some of you lot would stop going on about drawing the game. It's embarrassing. it may have been a draw at full time but we lost the game and the match on penalties end of

So which bit of what I typed did you think was wrong ? We drew the football match and then lost the penalty shoot out. We lost the tie yes but the football match finished 2-2, if it didn't what was the score ??

The bit I think is wrong is the bit where you claim we drew the football match. Because we clearly didn’t.

The score was 2-2 (4-2 on pens). As one result.
Not 2-2 and then 4-2 on pens as two different games. The game and the tie are the same thing.

Perfect, my point exactly, there are 2 scores representing the outcome to show how the football match ended, and how the penalty shootout ended, not one overall score. Surely we've reached the point now where we can start throwing insults at eachother and threatening to leave ? Do you want to start or shall I ? Happy to leave it that we disagree. Bottom line is we are out !!!!!

I'd take an fa cup win and winning the league anyday.
I'd then campaign for Watford to declare sovereignty and we could go on and win the next World Cup.

It wasnt widely and correctly shown in truth. (Hughes)

Some pundits felt it probably wasnt a penalty but most thought it was.

However, you have your opinion and you re entitled to it.

Can you show me some examples where people in the media thought we were hard done by not to get a penalty?

If winning a petty argument was as important to me as it clearly is to you , I would upload the videos and press pieces to show you .

However , I have a life Burnsy. May I suggest for your own well being, that you get one too .

And in the process of getting a life , it may have the secondary effect of making your posts less dull and tedious to read .

Please be courteous and remember that a little humour goes a long way as does brevity and efficieny of statement .

But most tiresome of all is pedantry, and mindless debate that is based upon point scoring rather than an interesting exchange of opinions .

If my frankness proves to be too much again for you to handle Burnsy, such that it leads to you private messaging me with your whimpering complaints , then may I suggest that a football forum is not the place for sensitive violets like yourself .

So here’s the thing...and I’ll say it once.

And what I’ll also do is make public the PM that I sent you some way back which you didn’t have the decency to reply to, yet have decided to make reference to here...let’s see if others believe it to be ‘whimpering complaints’ or just a genuine request from a genuine person.

I tried to engage you in a debate where we had differing opinions. Because I was interested to gauge an opposite viewpoint about something that I didn’t think many had expressed. I didn’t insult you once. You throw around a lot of words that you think make you sound superior and like a ‘real man’ but that are silly because they aren’t warranted. Me and ‘The Undeniable Truth’ had completely opposite opinions on about something elsewhere this evening and it was dealt with in a couple of posts and with good humour. You seem incapable of such behaviour. Why is that? Why the short fuse? You’ve been called up on it before and not just by me.

Please don’t try and belittle me or anyone else by telling them to ‘get a life’ or suggesting they don’t have one. And on that note, for reference, here’s the PM that you suggest is ‘whimpering complaints’ rather than the courtesy you have asked me to show you...

    Hi mate,

Been a tough couple of weeks with a death in the immediate family so maybe just be careful with the way you speak to people on here. I know you weren’t to know and repect that - but just to make you aware that insulting someone can have consequences on someone’s mental health if said to the wrong person. I’ve been guilty of it on here too.

I’m sure it was said light-heartedly in any respect.

    Burnsy

What part of that isn’t courteous? What part is whimpering? I’d run into these issues with you before so asked you privately to be more respectful. You declined to respond. I’m happy to take it up with you again by PM if it’s not too ‘pedantic’ for you. If it is, fine. But I will continue to respond to you on the forum in a respectful matter and agree/debate with you on all things WFC.

Finally, plenty of people respond to my posts politely and with excellent viewpoints which I may or may not agree with. But that tells me they don’t find them dull or tedious. If they do, I respect that as long as they don’t get personal.

Sorry if this has not been short or efficient enough for you.

ahhhhh.. i'm touched. Or at least that's what people tell me.

Tracey Ullman though. I mean she's lovely and all that but she was born in Slough.. which i never can tell if it's in Bucks or Berks? I guess it was in Bucks when she was born there and since moved itself to Berks (1970's i think) Perhaps we should say it's in Berkinghamshire? :)

Crikey, not convinced about that name.

Maybe HH24 (Amersham) should replace the controversial Ullman in the rankings.
