Got to laugh at the Liverpool fans claiming he is worth more than £10mil. They have slated him, abused him, and wanted him out the door asap. Now we put a bid in all of a sudden he's worth at least £15mil haha.

No Liverpool fan gave Markovic a chance to prove his worth. I hope Liverpool accept our £8mil and he scores past them on the opening day of the season.

Agree there is more potential but also more risk. Gino is boxing clever at 8 million pounds starting price. Add ons could modestly up the price but the 'Pool always get desperate and pay too much. Apparently they are willing to pay 40 million for Saleh when up until today the price was 35 million. I reckon Everton's spending has now got them completely rattled! COYHS.

I can't see them accepting a bid of 8mil, but if we can keep the price below 12mil I'll be happy.

Can't remember if it was on here or not, but seen reports of zarate moving back to Argentina, so winger is definitely a positions we need (possibly x2). Especially with the future of Berghuis and possibly Amrabat in question. That leaves us with just Success and Pereyra even though I prefer Pereyra through the centre personally

Tbf to Liverpool his stats don't really add up to much wherever he went . Played plenty of times for Liverpool but never really delivered.

 

They are never going to get their money back, he is unhappy with them, they don't want him and he only has two years left on his contract, he could go out on loan again, or they could cash in for whatever they can get, otherwise he will just walk away in two years on a free. If nobody else bids for him then £8 mill is the price.

 

It appears that Gino is chasing 3 or 4 wingers of which of course we will only sign 1. I think your assessment is about right. The queue for Markovic seems pretty short. We may therefore get a low price steal. Great potential but I am strangely less excited about him joining then others as he has made almost no progress over last 3 years. Happy to be proved wrong but I don't expect Gino will pay anything like Liverpool's inflated price. coyhs!
