Anyone else concerned by the complete lack of rumours? Any that are about are for complete dross as usual. Greatest scouting network bla bla. It so boring. Everyone else is strengthening and looking for talent from the lower leagues. We are never linked or in the running for anyone doing a decent job in the champ or league 1. Not really. The reality is we have to reduce costs not increase them. Fortunately Gino’s hobby of developing young players in Spain means we have on tap £20M in young talent without having to actually spend a penny. Watch some videos of Suarez and Estupinan and perhaps that will raise your excitement levels a notch.

I was initially, but we have to remember that the market is in a bad way right now. Covid has had a huge impact on clubs' spending power. It would have had a noteable impact us even if we were still in the PL, but if you add in the impact of the financial losses from relegation, I'm not susprised we have made so little movement. We have players that the club no doubt want to shift, but with the market is a poor way right now I doubt we'll see any imemdiate movement. I hope that changes before the window shuts because we don't want to saddled with players on high wages who don't want to be here but we can't get rid of.
Hey I’m on your side. We should have replaced Deeney and built a new back four 18 months ago. But we didn’t. We are where we are. We have to reduce costs which means focussing on our back catalogue. If you hope the club is going to be buying lots of players in I think you are going to be disappointed.
True but when players cannot get work permits then - we cannot employ them to work in the UK. fortunately this has now been resolved for estupinan and suarez

No, not at all. I wouldn't expect us to sign lots of players as our squad is absolutely massive!! We need to trim down on the deadwood (we all know who they are), we need to sell some players whilst we can (Doucoure, Pereyra, Deuloefu etc). We need to build the squad around the youngsters like Sarr, Wilmot, Quina, Hughes, Pedro, Suarez, Estupinan & Ngakia - keep some experience like Cathcart, Dawson (don't play them together but as back-up), Masina & Capoue and then add 2-3 players to cover key positions such as in goal, centre-back etc. Not worried at all. I'll be more worried if we start selling our youngsters like Suarez, Estupinan, Pedro etc and keeping sh*t like Gray, Deeney & Kiko.
I'd rather see none vs the crap some people are getting excited about on here. Absolutely no one we are linked with will improve us. As I said, greatest scouting network in the world! Wouldnt be surprised at all to see Angella, Fernando F, Vydra, Anya and Pudil coming back. Sort of thing our owners love doing. Teams who have come down in the past invest in a proven Champ striker to guarantee them 15-20 goals putting them in the mix for promotion. If you take the likes of: Pedro Suarez Pervis Quina Tom dele Ngakia Wilmot It's like having a mass of new signings because they've barely had a chance to show off their talent. Things no doubt will happen but they need to shift some on first. Doucs will be a good start. Nacho and Pereyra look like they will be following on closely after that. The new fella needs to be able to assess what he has at his disposal too.

So in summary: your initial post is a standard, impatient misery guts rant; your word usage is ******ous; and you're not even up-to-date or read up on what it is you're ranting about. for the most part - I was absolutely fuming at the end of last season, mainly with the clubs inability to communicate and the complete lack of 'giving a ****' that was on display each match. However, when it comes to transfers. the Pozzo network generally doesn't allow transfer interest to leak... When it does they more often than not walk away. If you want interesting tranfer rumours - I'm happy to make some up.
One rumour that has come to light - Norwegian defender Haivis Veste. Shone brightly in the Eliteserien. A standout performer last season.

There seems to be a severe lack of ability to contemplate the difference in quality between the premier league and the championship. People can’t seem to see past a bad season in the prem and can only see players who performed badly in the prem performing the same or worse in a league that is vastly inferior. It’s a bit like not being able imagine the weather being any different to what it is at that moment in time. This is currently the strongest our team will possibly be, the best outcome is that it doesn’t change, but it will only get weaker from here. We will not be strengthening our team, only replacing better, more expensive players with cheaper ones who at best have the potential to play in the premier league. A promising player from a lower league is not by any means guaranteed to ever be a better player than one with premier league experience who has had a bad season.
