Think we may have to sell Sarr after all!

I'd bet a lot of money on this ending in him signing a new contract with Barca.

Looks like he's trying to force out Bartomeu. He's probably not happy about Suarez apparently being released either.

Must be great supporting a big team, all the Barca fans i've seen on Twitter say Suarezs legs have gone, yet he still finished 4th in the La Liga goalscorer list with 16 goals ffs

I'm hearing that Giraldi has been in touch with his agent. We couldn't could we? Wages could be an issue? Could be the perfect guy to come off the bench with 10 mins to go to replace a tiring Deeney.

I gather there's not even 100% consensus that he's the best in the world FFS. Plus he's done nothing in the Belgian league so won't be on our radar. Giraldi won't have heard of him.

Barca’s ‘demise’ has been a long time in the making.

A little like us, they’re in dire need of a rebuild and fresh blood, and for them in the long run I think they’d be better for it if they let Messi leave.

Of course they’ll want something financially for him, but I hope for their fans’ sake and his, that he’s allowed to leave on good terms if that is actually what he wants.

My question is, what absolute melt agreed to write that clause into his contract in the first place?! Laughable alongside the €700m buy-out clause that is also apparently in there!

I guess in the end there's only so much money you can pay in wages, when that fails you have to start making compromises!

Someone may correct me if I'm wrong but I think the Spanish FA stipulate that all players must have a buyout clause in their contracts. It doesn't mean, of course, that the club wouldn't accept a lower offer.

Valencia aren't even breaking in to a sweat there; Sevilla had 4 vs 5 in the final third.

It's eerily reminiscent of the effort at the start of our relegation season. Javi working his magic. Not that far ahead of Alaves.

A catalogue of mistakes. The referee initiall did not even produce a card. Horrific challenge which means Ocampos is out for a few months and misses the up coming CONMEBOL qualifiers. Also it is despicable how one or two of the Getafe players try to minimize the seriousness of the challenge and the red card produced to Djene after VAR urged the referee to consult the pitch side viewer.

Both coaches were sent off after Lopategui the Sevilla coach called the Getafe coach Bordelas some rather rude names.

Jimmy Glass antics from Bono. Barcelona keep the pressure up on Atletico with a thumping of Real Sociedad. That dents Sociedad's hopes of CL qualification. At the bottom it remains a scrap between Huesca, Eibar, Elche and Alaves.

They have had to wait over thirty years since their last cup so entitled to have a song and dance. An all Basque derby between two very old and famous clubs and a relief that one of the Old Firm did not win it. Atheltic Bilbao do have the chance to win the Copa in two weeks time when they take on Barcelona in this years final.

    Wonderful news!

Barcelona have lost 2-1 at home... to Granada!

Let's hope that poxy little fanboy club continues to lose games and get into more debt whilst Atletico can win the league and shake things up a bit :)

Simeone is the Bilardo disciple par excellence. Not fun to watch, but aggressive, tight and disciplined with a little bit of magic thrown in now and then. Another title and a game which consigned Vallodolid to the Segunda. Suarez has sparkled for the Rojiblancos but not as much as when playing with Messi. On the other hand Benzema and Dybala sparkled without Ronaldo.

Not sure why MU persist with him.
    Good for EC.
