There was something joyful about watching Ken bumble at speed towards the opposition full back, neither of them quite knowing whether his touch was a pass, an attempt to dribble, or simply poor control.

A couple? I can understand Potter being interested in him, who else in the Premier League would really want him (WBA/Fulham perhaps)? Hardly pulled up any trees in the Prem for us, the Championship is probably his level

 

He reminds me of Lloyd Dyer only a better version. I think this level is his sweet spot and he is really going to shine this season.

 

Hopefully he gets on with Ivic better than Dyer got on with Beppe!

 

Reckon his attitude is a million times better than Dyer's

 

Done quite well in the Serie A games I seen him play in last season.

 

Looks like Ken, plays like Barbie

 

I hear a lot of other guys are after Barbie right now.

Ken will just have to get in the Barbie queue.

Apart from Sarr and Hughes, I reckon this would be the departure I'd be most upset about. He actually wants to be here and looks good for this level.

 

Ask them to stop, don't even give details why or play with words - no Sema-antics

 

And he can play just about anywhere, which will be vital this season more than ever

 

I'd love to keep King Ken, looks like a very useful player, but would people here really reject a fee in the region of 10-15m? (Just speculating there with that fee but imagine we wouldn't be interested in selling for less). Everyone has a price. He definitely wouldn't be as big a loss as Sarr or Hughes. It's not even clear he is in our first team - depending on who is available to be the centre forward, its probably between him and Pedro to play on the left (though he is a decent option in other areas.)

 

On the basis that Ken is apparently the first player we've had in about 5 years who can take a decent corner, we need to keep him at all costs.

I'd actually admire the chutzpah of Pozzo if he manages to sell, not only the ones we expect are in the definitley/probably leading category, but also Sema, Cleverley, JP, Kabasele, Chalobah....basically every senior pro.

Stevenson, as our now most senior player becomes club captain of a bunch of teenagers and we get rinsed every week. The club puts put statements about ambitions to be best of the rest and the fans lap it up.

 

We've fallen so far that calamity ken is now viewed as our saviour.

Exactly. I've commented on this on another thread. A decent delivery from set pieces could equate to 10 to 15 goals a season. We've desperately lacked this for ages now and is detrimental in our upcoming season. A decent delivery and header secured the three points in our first game. Pedro also got on to the end of another first half but put it wide. It's being worked on and that's pleasing to see.

 

But can we go all the way and better the early 90s for shyteness?

 

Why calamity? Goal and an assist in the two he's played in. Not even the full 90 minutes in either game.

Has he? I had no idea. I haven't watched a single minute of this season. And won't until we are back in the ground.

 

Well they accepted 15+m for Estupinan, but he didn't want to be here. Big Ken has not in one way rocked the boat and looks like hes buying in to Vlads philosophy. So I reckon he'd want to stay if he's being involved.
