No grown man should ever wear Crocs in the box
Porto looking at the older Pedro...
I saw an Attenborough documentary in South Africa which showed a bok in the croc.
Here's an updated story. Seems like things are advancing nicely.
Well spotted HB1 but where is Peneranda's work permit?
My son bought a Fluminense shirt when we signed Richarlison.
The Pedro transfer means I won’t be able to clean the car with it.
Until he signs for Everton in 6 months time ?
I think we're starting to truly see the Pozzo scouting network in action. It's well documented that previously, they didn't have the financial clout to make it work properly; sometimes players were outside of their range. Now we can afford to sustain fees that Udinese could not, thanks to the ridiculous money the Premier League brings.
3 million for a single player isn't high (although perhaps risky if they're very young), but 20 players at 2 or 3 million is another matter. We can sustain that; Udinese cannot. I also don't think Udinese would have gone in for Richarlison at the money we paid.
It's pretty hilarious seeing us do a real life Football Manager, buying up all the young regens before the big clubs come calling.
Good to hear. On a possibly related issue... Hopefully we don't get screwed by the intentions of FIFA to reduce loan outgoings to 6 players.
Yes some teams "stockpile" talent. So what? Tom Cleverley, Jack Cork, Ben Foster, Nathan Aké, Chalobah and countless others made a career because of their loan experience with us.
Trying to think of an example of a young player getting into the first team of a Premier League side without any prior loans or coming from playing in a lower league. Rashford is all I've got.
Jack Stephens, Luke Shaw, Lewis Dunk, Solly March, Paul Dummett, Harry Winks, Ben Chilwell, Phil Foden, Trent Alexander-Arnold...
I get your point but there’s quite a lot!
How could I forget Paul Dummett?!
No son of mine is signing for them.
Reckon that is why he is joining us in 2020. There won't be a limit on the number of players who you can have lined up for the future. We will basically be buying them after their 'loan deals' as opposed to buying them and then loaning them out. Hope that makes sense although it probably doesn't.
I think it's more a reflection of his age. I think FIFA have a minimum age players can move continents at or something.
Correct. They have to be 18 years old at least before moving. Vinicius Jr has the same before joining Real Madrid.
Also... Unless he's the second coming... Why would Fluminense be inclined to play a guy who is leaving?
WO now saying the deal has been completed after Pedro has passed his medical.
I wish Carlos still posted regularly.
I’d love a paint drawn mock up of Fluminese’s ground which I imagine is just the Udinese ground but with water flumes
Unless the terms are particularly favourable.
As Fluminense are using his picture, he may be involved on Wednesday for the under 17 side.
I believe for RD junior they would be "a one year deal on £2k/month"....or a straight £50m with add-ons if it's Everton.
Until I see a signed copy of all contracts, I fully expect him to be tapped-up by Mr Silva.
Welcome to Everton Joao.
i look forward to reading allardyce or someone similar saying "there wouldn't be this much fuss about him if his name was john stones or something" in the near future
Yeah, but if his name was "John Stones or something" he'd be slower, his first touch would be like a sledgehammer and he'd cost 4 times as much.
I think that reducing the stockpiling would be a good thing for football in general
Scored a hat-trick for the Fluminense U17 side today. 3rd, 4th and 5th goals are him.
Transfer officially confirmed by the club:
Signs in January 2020 when he's 18.
Whatever happened to not selling the crown jewels?
NB - I'm saying this to any other Fluminese fan on here.
Can’t we just sign their whole team?
Somebody put Malaga and every Spanish 2nd division team on red alert.
Not sure how reliable this is, but we're supposed to have paid only €2m for his signature.
That's a lot for someone who's essentially bob a job age.
Fantastic signing for the future. Praying that we get to see all our youngsters (Cucho, Penaranda, Hughes, Pontus, Quina, Chalobah, Wilmot and Joao) play for our team together in a few seasons time. That squad has an unbelievable potential that so few clubs at our level can come anywhere close to rivalling. Hopefully we don't send em all off like we did with Sancho
We're building a "proper-bob-a-job-squad"...
Globoesporte also reporting Flu have a 10% sell on and other clauses.
