Hopefully the awful Flores will be gone by January. Dreadful lazy appointment.
yes indeed and no amount of propaganda from the clubs media department will cover up that reality.
This guy is gonna have a torrid 6 months with us before shipping out to some mid table la liga team for E16m and a leg of jamon
I also saw in the video interview with him in the summer that he'd started learning English already, albeit it would take some time to get to a decent level.
TBH I am not sure how good Flores' English is - maybe it's just me but don't understand it that well compared to Javi.
Well it's already started on Twitter .
Welcome to Pedro etc like he is the saviour !
He will play...but at right back.
In fairness has Flores played any of our attackers in defensive positions?
Hardly any are fit hence having to play 2 wingers up front .
Watford’s last hope
I can't wait for Joao Pedro to go out on loan to Gil Vicentes
Abdi at RB was the closest.
Oh well I did mean of this lot - tbh they probably could have done no worse than Kiko!
All of them.
I can see it now, Pedro is the only striker we sign in January, he's considered not fit enough to play the first 4 or 5 games and then makes a substitute's appearance before picking up a 'knock'. He never plays for us again and he disappears in the Summer to never be heard from again.
I'm sure this guy is a great prospect and has real potential.
But he's struggling a little in Brazil right now and the prospect of this raw 17/18 year old arriving in the premier league, playing in a struggling team, in a different country, probably not speaking the language, at 20 degrees colder than he's used to playing in, and firing us to prem survival is pretty far-fetched. I wouldn't expect to see more than a few cameos off the bench and a round of booing the first time he fails to control the ball or misplaces a pass. A summer start would have made much more sense for him.
The trouble is the Brazilian league starts as ours is finishing. So it would have been another Richarlison situation where he'd play 2 months of football even before joining us.
Fluminense will play their last game on 7th December so this way he'll get a few weeks off before coming over. None of this will make any difference of course because we probably won't see him until March!
But then he'd certainly never get to showcase his talents for us in the PL.
I do love how our Premier League survival this season feels wholly contingent on this guy coming in and being the messiah from day one. I suppose there's a... chance?
Well Mummy Pedro is thrilled according to the WO via some other source no doubt.
Guess the extra income will help the family but hope she doesn't expect to see her boy in action straight away!
STFU. He's our season saviour. We only need a few 0-0 draws until he arrives and singlehandedly fires us out of the mire before a 250m move to Barca in the summer. 22 appearances 66 goals.
as long as Flores is tinned by then or he won’t get a sniff.
Hopefully this guy will stay if we are playing Championship football next year. He may provide a spark when he joins in January, but it is a big ask to expect him to score a load of goals from the start - but you never know. Often young players start well, so he may give us a temporary lift
The Pozzos have lost me credibility with my son. I told him Ikpeazu was a wonderkid. I told him Oulare was a wonderkid. Then Peneranda.
When I told him about Joao Pedro he just laughed and walked off
We have wondering kids instead of wonderkids. They all amount to nothing, then go wondering off to go and play out the rest of their careers in the back arse of nowhere, whist we're left wondering why we ever got our hopes up.
I was wandering why these wondering kids kept wondering off.
